you guys are giving them 80b collectively, while receiving just 50b back. Thats simply rtarded.

As much I enjoyed the fact VOC won the tournament, I hate them for this kind of rip-off lottery.

You're correct, it is a bunch of OTHER people giving THEIR isk to the lottery, and which clearly you are not taking part in. So having sold close to 1500 tickets so far, I would take it that you are part of a minority that think the same way...

This thread has been very entertaining. I'm buying a ticket just for the show. If I win a ship, that is just icing on the cake. And if it turns out to be a scam, even better!

Purchased a couple tickets.

You all should also keep in mind that most lotteries and contests pay out less in cash than the value of the prize if you choose the cash route, so VoC is not valuing the Etana at 50 billion. That's your consolation prize if you're stupid enough not to take the hull.

Listen people, it's not a ripoff if your not paying for all the tickets. Yes they are taking a bigger cut than they should, but so ****ing what.

If you want the chance to win an Etana or 50 billion ISK then buy some tickets. If you don't then go away quietly.

Go and look how much money is paid out in real lotteries. Generally 50%-80% of the ticket-revenue are kept and only 20%-50% are actually paid out as a reward, spread over different tiers of winners, generally at a chance of 130.000.000:1.

In this 37,5% are kept and and 62,5% are actually paid out to one person at a chance of 4.000:1.

This sounds like a freaking sweet deal to me.
