I've been thinking recently about getting into FW, but I've got absolutely no Idea of the mechanics and whether or not it's a good idea to just jump in or to do my research and join a player corp.

Could someone please give me guidance into FW?

I was wondering the same thing, faction warfare looks fun but I'm wondering what the long term cost/benefit might be, how badly does it kill standing with rival factions, will I lose more isk in ship replacements than I make from LP off ship kills? What kind of skills should a new player have and at what levels before getting into it.

The only thing I know about FW is that it's a big playground for LP market manipulation. Your results may vary! Smile

Make a noob alt that can run a basic cap stable shield recharge setup. Circle plexes for days on end and amass absurd amounts of LP.
Sit around and wait for Tier 5. Profit......Lol

Great for making isk, really not all that for combat, with some exceptions.
