spacebook calendar notification

No matter what I do I cannot get the calendar notification to go away. Not gonna bug report it because bug reports are for real devs, not wannabe webdevs. I figure since I only look at spacebook once a fortnight I don't really care for a workaround but it seems the webdevs should be doing more than just making more misrepresentative advertisements.
