Of course those comments need to be removed, but you know damn well those are hardly the ones I am talking about.

And I don't pull punches on his website either. Which is even better cause I get to jab him directly in alliance chat. P

I will note I have heard good things about how your website functions really well on a tablet. Functionality is important. You did nail that. Being an unbiased news website? I guess i won't bring up the article that was submitted from the perspective of NCdot about this war. The guy worked really hard on it and it was a real solid piece that expressed very accurately how we are enjoying it.

It was rejected. I guess it did not paint a picture of NCdot weary and sad. Wouldn't want your readers to see an accurate view point from your enemies, would you? Anyways, good luck with your investment.

P.S. - No tinfoil bro, not even a shred, but keep spinning!

I would like to read that rejected article. Please publish it, on en24, blog, anything, get the word out.
http://themittani.com/features/ncdot-playing-their-own-game this is an interview with Vince Draken, was it accurate?

It almost seems like to really excel in this game one has to pick and join an outside community, then run with that clique in game. What?

There is a reason this has become a popular way to do things. Basically you create a cultural identity around your group. This keeps the group tight knit and gives you a solid core to base from. If you watch the politics of nullsec over a long period you will find that most corporations, and for that matter most alliances are full of some of the worst fair weather pubbies known to man. Pick your favorite alliances in any war and watch them as war starts to hit. Often in these alliances with no real identity you will see individual pilots and corporations shed off from the main body before the storm even really hits. When it starts getting hard it sheds at an ever greater rate.

Look at the fall of the Northern Coalition. Look at the fall of IT alliance. Look at White Noise. All of these bodies shed dissatisfied pilots who were unhappy with the culture and goals while they were at the peak of their membership but at the beginning of an ugly war. Wars that frankly at the time could have gone either way. Northern Coalition should not have been an easy kill for the DRF. IT Alliance and White Noise should not have been an easy kill for us.

Right now NCdot who has a solid core and solid ideology is putting up a hell of a fight vs us. The first we've had in years. Why? They have a solid core, and frankly a long standing eve tradition. Though I wouldn't be shocked if by the end of this conflict that they shed a few corporations of the fair weather variety that they have picked up in the last two years or so.

Aye, it's a good site that appears to be getting better, with a broader focus, as time goes on. Hope it keeps up.

Rarely do people TRY to be bad at posting. Usually they think they're bloody posting superstars.

But actually, they're morons.

It's no different than joining any other guild, the difference is you want to find one you mesh well with so you stick. I mean who do you respect more? Someone who bounces from corp to corp and alliance to alliance every day? Or the guy who has stuck for several years? I'm pushing two years with Goonfleet. Meanwhile with the exception of the NPC alts that post around here so often I'd wager that the vast majority of the folks here have seen a half dozen space guilds that imploded, or they hated, or no one logged in, or something bad happened and they ran away... etc etc etc.

To me that's a sign that we're doing something right, that everyone else is doing something wrong.

A lot of people forget what the main focus of eve is for our directorate. A lot of people get lost in messages like "Destroy Eve" or "Destroy Highsec" but really one way is just a troll and the other is a means to the end. The end is providing a place for our membership to have fun in whatever way they choose in the Eve online universe. We didn't burn Jita to make your life miserable. We don't really care that much to be honest. We don't kill people on gates, or take space, or troll on the forums because we hate you all.

Hate takes up a lot of energy. We do it because it gives us something fun to do. Shooting freighters in coms with a bunch of whooping and hollaring people is fun. Going out on one of Suas's fleets to have him wipe out the enemy then play us a song on his guitar... is fun. Talking to people and forging alliances, getting other people to do what you want in order to provide greater entertainment for your membership is fun. Getting a spy into another alliance is fun.

What isn't fun? Mining rocks. Mining rocks isn't fun. PVE in eve? Isn't fun. We got lucky and were given one of the richest regions in the game, and we've conquered even more riches since then, all in the name of bankrolling the fun of our membership. A battleship death doesn't break me. Even when I have no money. This means I can sally forth in my spaceship and shoot shoot shot my lasers at enemies, at friends, at whatever and have more fun.

I mean we spent an hour in the PNDN system the other night because our FC wanted to sing a funny song about it, and we were all laughing and singing with him.

We don't take this game seriously. We're here to have fun. We find the people who take this game super seriously to be a bit creepy and unhinged. And yes we do have a few of those creepy unhinged people in our own alliance. We make fun of them.

I read a couple of articles on the site. The one I read by James 315....meh. Puff piece. "The carebears all need to learn......"

By the way, I remember back when BoB was around, the forum trolling by Goons was unbearable, especially on CAOD and is one of the reasons it pretty much died. It was an organized event for them. "fofofofofofofofo" Remember that? Goons troll less these days and do a lot more serious posting, frankly taking the role BoB used to have as bossman, which is what I see themittani.com being about. Goons are trying to be serious, which seems a bit like a contradiction in terms.

I am pointing out the fact he is dancing around the fact DBRB is in goons. You can attempt to separate yourself from it by tossing out some smoke and mirrors going on about penny arcade and "technically he is in goons, but not really". No one is buying it.

You said where are they now? Well the guy who orchestrated the video mocking 9/11 is Dabigredboat and he was in Goonswarm at the time and has been in it ever since.

So Andski, you can lie all you want claiming he is not in goonswarm, but he is. Anyone can look him up now and see he has been in goonswarm since 2007. Anyways, I will leave you with your posting style terminology so you can feel witty and such. I will use a more direct and simply description of yours. A lie.
