Well, they are news site. But like i said they don't cover EVE politics. They cover EVE development updates and ongoing balance, which is hard to post about every single day. And that they do better than EN24 or Mittens site, so if that's what you're looking for then there you go.

If you're looking for political updates, you shouldn't rely on just one site/blog for them either. Like i said, any and all political news outlet is moderatly biased at best, and more often than not just a propaganda machine for one or other side.

In my experience the best place to gather "political updates" are these forums. Note that i said "best", and not "perfect".

The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die.

I think what I mean by a news site is something that is presenting the everyday information about what is happening in Eve, among the players. I'm just hoping that The Mittani site helps to justify other sites or just other outlets from other perspectives. Eve24 has just become too much of an unreliable flame fest. Though with competition perhaps it will right the ship and get back to reporting. I love reading the forums but you have to slog through a lot of "giggle giggle trolling."

My fantasy is that Eve could somehow link the Incarna CQ screens with some form of a real time player broadcast network. That would be brilliant.

All news services are inherently biased, some more than others, I would consider the Beeb to be in the less biased camp as their news coverage matches with the other UK broadcasters and most of the european ones.

Now if you want biased UK news coverage I suggest The Sun, the Daily Mail & the Mirror.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

It's Jon (no 'H') Stewart, you mongoloid. And he's a comedian, not a mouth piece for Rupert Murdoch so stop crying about him being biased and calling out Repugnants on their bullshit.

The interesting thing about Jon Stewart is that they are actually doing a lot of the things that the mainstream news used to do. They are pointing out hypocrisy, fallacies and the blatant idiocy absent from the reporting of many of the 24 hour news cycle outlets. It's a sad comment on the mainstream news that the comedy news is usually more on point.

I read TheMittani frequently, and today I realized something... I'm actually a dirty goon inside, and feel now all dirty and slutty.

Pretty witty! I like it. Have you checked out the site or do you know of any others that people should check out to increase their metagaming enjoyment?

I'll stick with EVE News 24, they don't leave me feeling dirty after reading it. Sorry but Themittani just has too much goon stigma around it, should have named it something else and kept it away from that.

It's kind of like Fox News, even if they run a really insightful story, it's still Fox News.

The first article I read in the_mittani website was an anti-carebear rant.

It is not "fair and balanced" as it is being purported to be. But I guess if it works for Fox News...

And what gives with all these shameless plugs to the website? Every day there's a thread on "how awesome the website is and how everyone should be reading it" Ugh.
