This reminds of a line from an old holoreel where the idea of 1 people, 1 state and 1 leader was paramount. It ended badly for those that espoused these ideas.

This was a gallentean holoreel, and as all gallentean things, it was horribly f***d up. Really, what would you expect of dull pro-democratic holoreel maker, that used to depict professionals as evil heroes, and dumb idealistic delusional amateurs with f***d up logic as good heroes?...
