How Do I Suspend An Account, But Not Cancel It?

Hey all. Due to some unforeseen financial circumstances, i.e. baby on the way, I unfortunately need to suspend my three accounts for a year or more. I do plan on coming back to EVE, eventually, but I don't want to start from scratch. I tried looking under the self help in billing and account cancellation, but it's very vague. But what I want to know is, is there a way for me to suspend my accounts, and if so, how long will they remain suspended for? Thanks for any info Smile

When you cancel an account everything on it remains until you renew it, hope that helps.

Also congratulations on the mother/fatherhood thing. Big smile

Accounts are never deleted, (I'm assuming there will be a CCP statement if this policy ever changes) just let your subscription lapse and the characters be waiting for you when you come back.

To James315

Get over it already ......

Congrats, cancel your sub and your account goes into suspension, not sure how long the accounts stay suspended, but I re-activated an account from a few years back and the characters where still there.

Yep. Just decline to resub or cancel your CC deduction/charges and the accounts will go dormant. Nothing is ever deleted. Everything will be waiting for you when you decide to come back.

And congrats on the new baby.

When cancelling, always verify that the account was cancelled/closed. I had an issue last year where the website apparently felt that I didn't really want to quit. In the long run, I'm glad I didn't. Just wish I could get back the skill queue time I missed when I thought the account wasn't active.
On that note, Load up your accounts with the longest train you can possibly get before you log off for that last time. Just in case :)

CCP got rid of ghost training, so you can't train while your account is inactive any more.

He was referring to his case. Where he thought he unsubbed but really didn't. Either way skill training still goes for 3 days after sub expires so eh not a terrible idea.
