On our show this evening ,we will be breaking from our usual mayhem filled evenings and doing a special remembrance for Vile Rat.

I'm inviting anyone who knew him or had any dealings with him to join us on Skype and share your fond memories and good timeswith the rest of the Eve community.

About halfway into the show, I'm planning on taking out a roam with gunless ships to somewhere in null sec where the plan is that anchor a container for VR using diplomacy to reach our destination rather than brute force. We'll probably all get popped but that's Eve. Maybe we'll make it though.

We'll broadcast the roam on live video through the http://eve-radio.com website. You can also go there to listen to the show through audio.

Our special will pick off tonight at midnight eve time. I know that Seleene plans to join us this far and we expect a few others to sign up in the coming hours.

You can also post remembrances in this thread. We'll read the appropriate ones over the air tonight.

I hope to make it. Never flew with him. Never did anything with him, but to be murdered over a stupid video is not exceptiable. Everyone is Salk lake City that listens to KSL from 7 - 10 with the Night side project knows about him now also.

I think CCP sould set up somthing so people can send plex and isk to. And have them use the isk to buy more plex and then have CCP cut a CHQ to the family of Vile Rat for the US Dollar amount of the Plex collected.

As part of the 99% Mittani noted never knew of Vile Rat I still feel saddened by the loss of such a character. In a game of guns and explosions he showed what a powerful weapon words are. Sadly words can both arm and disarm a group of people, as proven both by his actions in game and in real life.
VR won't be forgotten, neither by those close to him in this community or closer, nor by the general populace of EvE.
Fly safe and take care, no matter where you are or what you do.

Good luck on the event tonight. I think it is a wonderful idea to do a diplomatic-style roam.

So we're on our way back from our Null Sec roam out to pay tribute to VR.We headed out to an old BoB haunt suggested by Seleene, NOL-M9. No one engaged us on the way in, those we ran into let us pass unharmed.

We arrived in system, anchored some cans, and lit a few cyno "candles". Some members of the fleet said some stuff in local, and I'm not gonna lie, those of us on air got pretty choked up.

It was a great way for those of us that went, to say goodbye, and I'm glad I made the 50+ jumps to come out with you guys. From fleet chat, I don't think anyone regretted the trip.

Special thanks to those that came, those that joined us through listening on EVE radio or watching the streamed video feed, and those that let us pass through their space. I'm glad to know, that we are all, in fact, space bros.

Two cans and one cyno candle later, my Bellicose did not even get a scratch and even though it's all T1 fail-fit it is now parked next to my most prized ships. It's not getting out of the station ever again.
