I don't remember hearing that, considering the established lore for jump clones (instantaneous travel of conciousness to even the farthest part of the known universe) it's pretty safe to assume that a "dust-bunny" doesn't have to worry about range of transmition.

Let's face it

Pod pilots are now as Amstrads are to PC's, hopelessly obsolete.

Whats stopping a "dust-bunny" from climbing into a pod and becoming something akin to a NASA supercomputer (following the above analogy)

It was somewhere in Templar One, the implant lacks the transmission power.
Turning it up would destroy the conciousness it was trying to scan.

Not sure the specifics are set yet. With everyone pissing on WiS now, that might have taken a big chunk out of the original plans for interaction between dust and eve...
