Just because something is complex, it doesn't make it overpowered. Most people don't realize the Deimos profiled much thanks to a complex offensive layer

I can't figure out what you mean when you say a ship "profiles". I'm not familiar with that usage of the word. What does it mean?

Without reading up to slowly plod through Noisrev's post (as they are often long for the amount of meat they contain, and an :effort: to get though). Noisre sometimes has some good points, and sometimes (ok maybe often) I find things he says to disagree with. But either way he uses a lot of text and his own lingo to say them. P I will just say that I empathize with your post.

Tracking disruptors should be chance based too. Might even throw sensor dampners in with the aforementioned...

No. Damps operate in falloff most of the time. Especially if you are using range damping. That is the chance component already built in. ECM has very long optimal in relation to falloff. And it is such an irritating and op game mechanic anyway such that it was made chance based. If anything, Painters, Damps, and TDs should all be given even shorter optimal and longer falloff to preserve and strengthen this built in chance component.

Also, the fix for them especially the new TDs that would be op is to weaken the base stats on each of these other ewar and then give the dedicated ships a higher bonus like the 15% - 30% per level bonuses ecm boats got with the nerf to the base strength of ecm modules. It worked to end the multispec of doom. This same design can alleviate any worry over TDs of doom.
