Battleships really aren't the best soloboats because you have absolutely no ability to escape or disengage. You should really be looking at a ASB'd vagabond or even a BC/Command ship. Maybe a Cynabal or a T3 if you aren't dumb.

I don't have much cachet with the solo pvp thing, but I know after taking down a rather notorious one in our space, a quick copy of his fitting and I was fighting down a loki and a few assault frigs in nothing more special than a Vagabond. The strength of the fit is at all times I could dictate the engagement range and even if it was happening. None of those fits you died in show any ability to do that.

EVE is more than just a game (in the theme park definition), it's a virtual world (sandbox). Just like in real life, the majority of people will do whatever is more effective to survive in this virtual world. The "solo pvp" you're trying to find is like roaming outside in real life to find 1v1 gunfights and not expecting to get gangbanged, or the cops putting you down shortly thereafter. The only thing you can do is adapt.

I know exactly how you feel OP. Me and my friend do exclusively solo PvP (rarely duo), usually we go on our solo roams without getting a kill. People can say it is player skill and anything along those lines, but honestly it isn't. I understand it does take some skill to solo PvP effectively but getting killed by a much larger group, or one with a Falcon is inevitable and no amount of skill will prevent it from happening.

For now, I continue to roam as I do have fun, but It does get frustrating at times when I go a week without seeing a good fight (regardless if I win or lose).

And for the ones scolding the OP for roaming in a BS, try reading better in the future. He clearly said he was roaming in expensive BS's only to dump his isk.

Good luck with your future endeavors, good to see other real solo PvP'ers exist.

Then he shouldn't complain about getting blueballed.

It always astonishes me that people who claim to not care about anything anymore, do announce this in a public forum. Roll

People's opinions matter to them, so they make them heard.

I also agree with the OT. Eve pvp hasn't been fun in years, if it ever was.

A true sandbox should support different playstyles.

Gank beats Tank. Always did. There is just way more gank now than Tank.
