make the game better ccp... like... press the restart button and go back to dark ages and ill come back but

As my last thing to do before i quit for good ive been spending my isk on ridiculous battleships and going around suicide pvping them.

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=14591648

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=14571216

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=14600440

in every instance so far as my last test of "JUst for ***** and giggles" there has been at least 1 logi and / or Falcon in a fleet much outnumbering myself

now obviously i got around 90m sp and my fit is worth about 2 billion, so a fair fight would be at least 3 or 4 average battleships vrs me or 7 or 8 bc's vrs me, so i wasnt expecting any 1 v 1's....

but everything in this game is now just numbers game

but whatever im not the last to go for this reason.

You are bad at hunting for solo pilots and reading the situation for traps, then.

I'd also like to point out that you were flying solo in a battleship. That is not a ship conducive to fair fights nor hunting for them. You wanted battlecruisers to come at you one by one didn't you? You're just as guilty as the falcon pilots you hate so much, except you had the gall to complain on the forums when had you flown a more flexible shiptype, you could have easily left them in the dust as soon as the fight turned ugly. Most of PvP isn't the combat, it's reading the situation, tracking people down, sniffing out traps before they spring, adapting, and knowing when it is in your best interest to disengage. The combat mechanics themselves are simplistic - this is where the real meat lies.

Go play WoW instead if you think having your shipfit and your skillpoints should translate to any sort of PvP success.

obviously i realised i was gonna die in each fight.... since im quitting my meter of care is at 0%...

however i didnt realise a falcon was going to decloak and perma jam me for 10 minutes while i die slowly...

also ... i really just dont wanna "hunt" i guess, my problem yah... but back in the day finding good fights was easy occurance, and it was EXTREMELY rare they would 3 out of 3 times always have a falcon or logi

everybody flies in fleets now because the new people mentality is "If i dont fly in fleets with logi or ecm im going to die" so now pretty much literally every fleet has one ship that makes solo pvp impossible... in all of these occurences, subtract the logi or falcon from the fight and add another bs or bc, their whole fleet, or at least half, was dead before i was.

but anyhow... was a few years of fun

maybe you didnt read the part where i said im quitting? i dont know....

also it isnt only shipfit/skillpoints, its that and 6 or 7 years of experience in the game so i mean take what you want from that, like i said, every instance linked above, shipfit/skillpoints and the ability to press f1 would have sufficed minus the gay ships that every fleet nowadays has.

Well then it will be a lonely life indeed in EVE. Can I have your stuff before you go? Or just some cash? You'd gain a friend!

lol ^^

this thread is a great example

out of the 30 or 40 views so far, only 1 other person has shared similar mindsets to mine... i just lack the "Give a ****" meter atm to hunt and use alts like i use to

---
and i know someone is thinking or about to say it to alice... roaming for hours is just part of eve... well yeah... back in the day youd roam for hours and get multiple good fights, not roam for hours, finally find one guy and get blobbed seconds later

There are much cheaper ways to find solo PvP, even though they end about the same way. That said, they end about the same way; which is both for and against your argument.

Of all the frickin things to fly, why did you choose a Tier 3 Battleship for Solo PvP? They're basically big, slow buffer tanks with limited DPS. Either they are long range with no tracking, or they're short range with no Optimal. If they're short range, you can't get close enough to DPS, and if they're long, you can't hit a Cruiser.

Also, they don't really have any bonuses worth noting for the trouble of training them or paying for them.

Tier 3 BS = POS Bashing tool for bored pilots, or Fleet Long Bombardment with a high buffer, or Fleet short Brawler with moderate DPS on Battleships provided it has the means to get in range with a warp in point or plenty of distractions.

Not much else they are good for aside from sniping which isn't to common these days, and only helpful in a small gang when nobody expects it.

Other reasons not to fly Tier 3 BS:

No Capacitor
Poor Align time
No effective Active Tank
Not enough Buffer fitting for their size
No passive Tank
Low DPS for their quantity of guns
Tier 3 Battle Cruisers
There's more...

My experience anyway. Putting 2 Billion ISK in fittings on it doesn't make it better, it just makes it look bad next to other ships that put 2 Billion in fittings on.

There is like 10 times more ppl now than those "golden ages" and ppl have lots more skill (can fly different ships logi, Ewar) What did u expect?

U chose wrong ship and wrong place. Take smth fast go in null, u ll find plenty of target and will be able to kite/kill.

U took a fockin BS and went around places where u know blobs are around.

BALEX, bringing piracy on a whole new level.

Mars don't worry about it,

some people as just wired so that when they lose, it's either the game's fault, or others are unfair.

yeah i know all of this, and thats what ive been trying for a long time before i decided to quit and say **** it

i chose battleships because i like them, they tank fairly well, and i can hit cruisers fine, hardwiring, lvl 5 skills and all -.- and a general understanding of tranversal velocity...

but it was more just of a **** it attitude and just spending my isk before i quit is why i chose what i chose i wasnt neccessarily looking to win, but it proves the point... solo pvp is dead...
