He played the game the way it was meant to be played. Had no idea of his international diplo work.

Oldma, Dibrle, and all of IRC joins the entire Eve Community in mourning the loss of a fine and honorable member of our community. Dibrle and Oldma have both personally dealt with Vile Rat on a number of occasions, beginning in 2007, and have always had the greatest respect for him. Indeed, his family even hails from Mandeville, Louisiana, just across the Causeway from my home in Metairie. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family, as well as the entire Eve community, over this loss. He will be missed.

Of all my time playing EVE I have rarely paid much attention to Goonswarm or their members. Hearing of this however, I feel the need to offer my condolences.

I can't help but wonder if a memorial will be placed in EVE somewhere as a sort of tribute.

I never knew the man myself aside from the occasional forum reply and in passing conversation about him or the csm but I can honestly say that the world of new Eden will be lessened by his passing.

I hope they do a high and low sec monument so the carebears ( no offense ) can read about his awesomeness.
