Something should be done both ingame and IRL, so that he may live on in New Eden and so that his family will feel the outpouring of love from a community that, by all reports, he loved and was in turn loved by.

Didn't know him (other than from CSM), never fought him, and never met him.

Yeah something along those lines. Plex or a straight forward paypal donation run and collected by EVE (ccp) or on behalf of . I think it would be a great gesture from the community.

game politics aside I had a lot of respect for Vile Rat, and my condolences go out to him and his family.

Lets all learn from this... learn not to hate.. anyone...to stay united...in the end we are all humans coming together with a common interest just to have some fun ...lets all unite and donate some plex to his immediate family members...

I'm still pretty choked up about this.

VR was awesome. He was the kind of internet spaceships player that was too humble to demand respect, but passively earned it anyways from anybody he came in contact with. I did not have the opportunity to speak with him as often as I would've liked, but when things went awry I knew who to go to. He will be missed the world over.
