So about a year ago I became The CEO of a small wormhole corp, Lone Star Exploration, following the retirement of the previous CEO from EVE.

I have kept the corp together, Ive grown it a little bit and I now pay the corp members monthly for all the pve they do; purchasing both wspace gas and sleeper salvage at a small markdown, and turning it in to Tech 3 cruisers and subsystems.

I have now run in to a problem. With monthly payouts approaching 15-20Bn depending on activity, liquidity has become an issue. I am having to sell reacted fullerites to market rather then upscale production as I would like.

Currently, I owe my corporation 6,395,998,039 ISK, and It has only been a week since the last payout of 11,591,950,081 ISK.

In order to avoid a potential delay in payments, I have decided to offer up a semi-collateralized IPO for my corporation.

Investors will be granted access to our op-tracker software (API secure to verify member contributions and assist with payouts) This will let them see exactly how much I currently owe the corp.

I will be offering a monthly return of 11%, levied against returns from an expansion of production capability, paid for from monies recieved from the IPO.

I will be keeping all monies and assets on my various accounts; details of which I would prefer not to reveal publically.
There will be no 3rd party inclusion, aside from the holder of the collateral; and LSE and myself have no outstanding loans of any kind.

I will release the API of the character "Boss". I will be using his assets as collateral:-

Shares:

Initially, 500 Shares will be available at 250Mn Each (for a total initial offering of 125Bn Isk

Shares may be traded back to myself at anytime to be resold. Shares may not be resold without notifying me via evemail.

To purchase shares; simply send ISk to the character "Boss", who is a member of Lone Star Executive and a previous member of Lone Star Exploration. You must use the reason "IPO" when sending money.

After you have transferred money to Boss, I will evemail you an access key to our op-tracker software, allowing you to check on the ststus of corp payments and how much the corp has made this month. "Boss" API will also allow you to keep a record of my market transactions and the general sucess of the IPO.

FAQs:

Q: What if you get hit by a bus; will I get my money back?
A: Yes. In the un likely event I get hit by a falling bus, there is a provision in my will distributing all of my EVE:Online accounts to a RL friend. they will sort you out.

Q: is this IPO advertised anywhere else?
A: Yes, FHC. http://failheap-challenge.com/showthread.php?7991-IPO-Lone-Star-Exploration-%28125Bn-11-%29&p=563518#post563518

"paid for from monies recieved from the IPO." -> "paid for from money received from the IPO"

"Money" is already plural.

Not trolling, just trying to help. I know some people aren't native English speakers.

The problem I have is investing in something that is already in the red. You're late for over 6b, and not just 6b, but 6b for an 11b payout, exceeding 50% in the red. You also stated that this is collateralized, but with what? Shares for the corp and visibility of the investment sinking?

What happened that you're 50% down on your payouts, and what insurance do I have as an investor that I will get anything out of this beyond worthless shares, an API that can expire rendering the data-tracker useless, and a hole in my wallet?

I'm not saying no one will help you out here, but you don't even list a game-plan to recoup losses and minimize loss to avoid losing anymore ISK and going deeper in the red.

I would demand viable assets for collateral to be held by a 3rd party that equals 100% invested and 11% interest just to make this even begin to sit well.

First of I think you are losing potential investors by not being more forth coming.
A lot of people including me are lazy, and I wouldn't even bother start checking all the information without a bit more information to entice me.
Like how much is partially collateralize?
Who will be the 3:rd party and how will it work with contradictions like.

"I will be keeping all monies and assets on my various accounts; details of which I would prefer not to reveal publically.
There will be no 3rd party inclusion, aside from the holder of the collateral"

Exactly what will he hold if you are keeping all assets and ISK?
Also in case of a IPO at this size, I would like to see an audit that the plan looks solid and the information you have supplied is accurate.
You are starting out with 6Bil in debt.. After a year in a WH?
How did you end up there, did you start out big? How will we know you can manage it?

Also I am not fond of people who just tell other people to send them ISK. That way we have no public record on who is sending you what or if you live up to your commitments.

That was just a few quick things that comes to mind.
You seem sincere but your IPO don't come across as a good deal at first glance. So we are back were I started, a little bit more information already on the first page please, and if that looks good. Maybe people will look a bit deeper into it Blink

Also Talk to Vaerah Vahrokha on what services she can provide and what information should be in the IPO

Great minds think alike and all that jazz. Cheers!

I do hope certain aspects of this get validated and a plan put in place. I would not mind having stakes in WH operations, especially if said company allowed use of certain space they own and operate in for personal interest.

But we shall see.

Im not late for anything, nor am I in the red. I pay the corp by selling recieved assets. The 11Bn payout has been payed, and the 6Bn could be payed tomorrow if required.

There will be no losses as selling Tech 3s is LUDICROUSLY profitable. The margin I will make is somthing like 30%.

As for collateralzation, I was thinking about securing 40% of the investment of those people who require collateral with grendell, and following his post above I will contact him to set this facility up.

Ah, sorry. When I read something like

it comes off as you're behind on something. Why mention something that's a non-issue? I must apologize if there was misunderstanding, but even at 40% collateral, something is not sitting right at all, especially for a 125b IPO.

To add nuance here, "monies" is a real word. It is an "irregular plural". It is appropriate when distinct "piles" of money are under discussion, for example in an exchange bank where there are distinct currencies in play.

you are asking for eight months worth of liquidity?

... and are willing to pay almost as much in monthly interest (13.75b/month) as you are paying your own corp members?

What is the nature and value of the collateral?

And here's another question, your two investors (one has the same corp as the other in its immediate history before joining an NPC corp? Peculiar) have never posted nor been active within the MD forums. Can they at the very least make a presence to confirm these transactions?

People from FHC. You could check th thread there; linked in FAQ. I will also encourage them to post here; however I cant force them to do that. You could of course check the API to ensure that funds were sent.

Based on the approximate answer you gave in FHC:
Quote:
Probably Grendell; I am looking to reduce the amount of collateral as much as possible tbh, as It makes no sence giving to a 3rd party to hold all the crap I would use to make the t3s. I could russle up some collateral in the form of faction towers and mods, mins, etc, but am hoping to collateralize no more then 40% of the final amount.

I would be willing to invest a matching amount to the collateral value (as determined by Grendell) AND pay Grendell's fee myself provided my investment was the first to be covered by the collateral. Happy to do the entire 125b should you find that amount of collateral.

if he agreed to urs being first payed out, doesn't that basically screw all other investors. If this does happen, i would like to know because certainly puts me off investing anything because there will be zero collateral for anyone else.

Has you ever went so far as chose to go even use want to look more like do?
