So i finally got into a Tengu for the first time and I am having an absolute blast on my lvl 4 missions. Have been using a Maelstrom/Raven so far. I am open to trying out other avenues, are there any really fun ships out there that people are enjoying? I keep hearing the Tengu is really boring so this makes me feel like there is some cool stuff out there.

With regards to missioning, the most fun I've had was using the Wolf.

I can fly minnie ships pretty well, what types of missions were you able to do?

AFs in L4s can be fun. Tier 3 BCs can also be an interesting change (Naga can kite beyond damps in Serpentis Blockade, for instance). Neither is very efficient, but they are a nice change.

CSs are arguably somewhat efficient and more fun to fly than lumbering BSs. Blaster Astarte, any Sleipnir build, possibly an Absolution. Nighthawk is just a Drake with another skin for these purposes though.

As far as BSs go, Machariel is in a league of its own. Nano fleet phoon is one I haven't tried but sounds somewhat interesting.

Of course you can always try venturing out of high sec. Pirate epic arcs provide something new and different.

So you would say a Mach over say a Nightmare or a Rattlesnake? I realize there are some other fun opportunities beyond hisec missions, something I am definitely open to exploring. Not sure if I want to go try out wormholes, nullsec sov stuff, or Faction Warfare.

the most fun ship ive had inna long time...sacrilege. face melting dps up close, fast as heck with the proper fit, and cap stable with EITHER prop mod OR armor repper. the combination of cap free weapon system, and armor tank makes for a fun as hell fusion of ship types. its a great brawler, pulse the repper and prop as needed and blow the frak outta everything
i just graduated to a nighthawk, everything ive seen about it looks awesome... only done a few "shakedown" runs but so far im impressed.
fun, to me is what this is all about, i dont get into the hi-sec, low-sec forum war crap. i want to blow up red dots. i want to doit in cool ass ships i built myself.

mach would be more fun than rattler. Mach moslty tanks by gank (you build for dps and clear rats as fast as you can). However for em rats...I'd highly recommend an armour tank. Yes I know everyone shield fits its. Against non-em thats cool. If your tank by gank is not working with em rats it can be a not fun time. Armour fit and the mach does much better against em rats.


rattler is boring. Fire cruise, get aggro and drones pick off targets with cruiser missile assist. But, the rattler can tank lv 4 fine with no pimp mods. Pure t2 tnaks works fine if cheap. Ever go lv 5....rattler was pro for this. Lv 5 has neut towers, rattler passive tanks very decent so 1 less headache. Lv 5 will be a pimp tank however, jsut a bit though

never flew NM.

Nightmare/Paladin. It's like popping plastic bubbles when it comes to incoming frigates.
