Cosmos agents that only accept very high standings give out cheap ass bpcs much more profitable than lp store.

Because everyone plays EVE differently and who is anyone to say someone shouldn't be recognized for the time and effort they put into something, even if it is just a decoration in their information.

You expected to get something at 10. so you've not looked into it before. Only thing you get at 10 is personal satisfaction.

Just the other day I was in CQ for the first time in awhile, and the 'video' screen had an announcement about a player reaching 10.0 with Gallente.

So yes, there IS some recognition. But being only in CQ, all of 2 people may ever see it. Lol

This is Eve, nobody is going to throw confetti in the air and toot horns, just because you think you did something extraordinary. Seeking validation from NPCs is just sad.

2 pages of posts w/o anyone realizing he only got 10.0 with the Navy, which, as it happens, is ridiculously easy. 2-run faction bpcs are only given out when you get to the requisite standings for a Faction.

For the 2-run BS bpc you need 9.9 standings towards the State/Federation/whatever. And that is indeed quite the chore.

Soldiers on the faction battlefield get medals and rewards. Citizens of the factions who cower in high security space and do not help the war effort but instead get rich off of their own selfish actions get nothing.

I don't know what weak simple-minded school raised the OP but in the real world you don't get a prize for anything you do. No participation awards, no good try medals. Do something cool or original or exciting. This is what makes EVE great, it doesn't reward the mindless grinders who want a free handout for mindless repetition, EVE rewards the innovative and creative.

If you check very carefully, you'll see you got a reduction in broker fees at Caldrai Navy Stations...

Never heard of cosmos missions have you. 10.0 standings with them gives you a nice reward.

"Soldiers on the faction battlefield" aren't cool or original or exciting either, there are no precious, unique little snowflakes. They either stumble into a gate camp and get killed, stumble into an occupied complex and get killed, or NPC a complex until they get big piles of LP to turn into cash. Conversely, they on occasion are the ones that get stumbled into. A headlong blaze of combat glory is a shockingly rare occurrence in EVE and, in fact, the guys that get closest to it are the can flipping mooks to be seen in high sec, at busy space ports.

Lots of things make EVE great. The attitude of those that find sitting around for days waiting for their PvP fight(or get bored and take the fight to non-combatants, an ever more common pastime and an infinitely more selfish action than keeping to ones self), fancying themselves as "hardcore" for doing it, is not one of them.
