(To make a more positive thread to discuss the better parts to the CSM. That way we don't have a naturally derogative place to discuss as well as a more enlightened place to post to keep from derailing Seleene's thread. )

In one of Issler's posts she states

"So to be clear, when I talk of my mining corp, we are one of the older ones in Eve. We have lived everywhere from null, WHs, low and high sec. We are a medium sized corp. We charge 0% taxes and make enough profits to give very good member benefits. We do this buying all ore and minerals that miners want to sell us at high Jita prices and then turning that into ships, mostly T2. To be going on our 6th year in Eve I must know something about mining and industry.

But I didn't run on what I know about Eve, I ran on representing miners and industrialist's interests. I ran saying I would be looking to the players for what they wanted in Eve.

I looked at your posts and I didn't see anything other that you feel exploration sites for miners are overly profitable compared to the other types of sites. I haven't seen a lot of other folks complaining about that.

So what immediately actionable changes do you want? I ask because one thing I was VERY clear about it I will be looking to players for feedback about things they wanted conveyed to CCP. So what is it you think CCP should be doing near term?

Issler"

Seleene had the following to say

"I've been playing EVE since May of 2003, long before there were things like capital ships, supercarriers, tech moons and a half-ass good tutorial. I started out mining Omber for weeks in a Punisher to earn the ISK for my first BPO (a Blackbird) and flew my ship uphill, in the snow, etc... We didn't have fancy things like 'alliances' or Tech 2 ships. Kestrels made great haulers until you managed to find someone building Bestowers and good luck finding one on the open market!

In April of 2004 I started a mercenary corporation, Body Count Inc. (BDCI), with an uninsured Scorpion battleship, a Crow interceptor and 30 million ISK to my name. There was no mechanic for mercs so we just made it up as we went along, eventually gathering up a few other like-minded folks and formed what became known as the Mercenary Coalition. I was the leader / executor / accountant / glue / whatever of the alliance and aged about a year for every month I did it. After about 3-4 years of rampaging around I closed the doors on MC.

From November 2006 - February 2010 I was a Game Designer at CCP. My dev name was CCP Abathur. Over the course of three years I touched on nearly every aspect of EVE game play in some form. My time at CCP is more detailed here. While I was at CCP, I watched the birth of the CSM experiment and worked with the elected players. As a player, I continued to believe in the potential of the CSM so I ran myself, getting elected to both CSM 6 and CSM 7, where I now serve as the Chairman."

And to top it all of Poetic Stanaiel had this to say about Elise Randolph blog Kick Elise Randolph from the CSM . . .

Which is mostly about his skills at knowing ships and their designs. I don't have many examples since I wasn't given any, but apperently in the "minutes" there are some.

Anyhow, hard for me to be mushy and say nice things. Easier to be mean, but anyhow thought it would be nice to be able to talk, without given them the advantage to guilt trip you over how the thread they respond in is mean and deragatory and they still post in it to give replies.

Also probably a big podcast or an exciting one hopefully is the Jester vs. CSM one Jester and karrde, Seleene, Hans, and introducing the new character: Anything Goes

Sorry to give flashbacks to the people who waited for the "mintues" to be released, but hopefully this cockteasing podcast comes out soon.

Thanks for the positive thread, cool to see.

I am reasonably certain the Ripard Teg episode of Declarations of War will be up by or close to this time next week. I'm well aware of the demand for this episode so the DoW team is going the extra mile to deliver it with some flair.
