I've yet to succeed at getting through the POS shields this way however I did manage to steal a bunch of ice from a dozen "secure" cans with an access code set to 7654321. Took a while to find but the tedium was worth it for the lulz.

Well I left one item of Tobacco, Long-limb Roes, Frozen Food, Dairy Products and so on in each container as a hint.
