I recommend everyone check out Linkin Park's new album Liviing Things. It has cool songs perfect for long ops! Especially the 3d song, Burn it down

Enjoy!

Entire album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=4ZHiOcKCyOw#

I think new Slipknot fits better to EVE's spirit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_w0iN_xG0U&feature=related

Seriously, trance and ME2 soundtrack are best music for EVE.

I find killing npcs and asteroids to a little Sinatra pretty relaxing.

I'll also recommend all Queen songs ever made; especially 39' , which is my favorite. (and its about space!)

I'm not sure why but whenever I think about or play at space travel I always think about mid 20th century music. Cool

I fail to see how Linkin Park makes good music for anything. Probably a little offensive to people who like them, but I consider myself to have a wide range of musical tastes, and I've never been anything but bored listening to Linkin Park. Maybe it makes good music for afk mining... If you are going to go down that route, go a little further until you reach Disturbed. Much better imho.

Also, not sure which thread to post in.

Wanted to bring up a outfit called 'Immediate'. They specialise in writing music for hollywood trailers. There is an album called 'Trailerhead' that they do. It's full of epic sounding little orchestral tracks, which are a lot of fun to fight to.

Eve is about the journey.  If you are so focused on making money, that you insist on having the tools to make it be made as autonomous and easy as possible, then you are never going to have as much fun as I will.

On a long mining OP? Want to listen to music that actually tells a story?

Ayreon.
Listen to all the albums in chronological order.
Thank me later.

Just flying through space - KMFDM, Skrillex or Porter Robinson

Fighting - Epica, Fear Factory or Symphony X depending on mood.

Chilling in station - what ever shuffle brings up on iTunes.

I think most music can fit Eve though, those are just my preferences. Eve has such a variety of tension and pacing, anything really could work. Hell if you wanted to go the space cowboy route country even could work...

You need epic music for the epicness that is EvE. Therefor, I present, for your approval.

Sufjan Stevens - Impossible Soul

And, I would be amiss to not share this channel...

Audiomachine

And lets not forget the obvious..
