I understand what you are all saying...

But i still believe the prices in High Sec will continue to rise making it much harder for everyone there.. Due to manaufacturing of Modules and Ships happening less and less..

Ain't it amazing that despite having the option to choose a safe mining barge, people still ignore this option and cry foul at the same time?

Were I to be Charles Darwin I would point out in a dry voice that "this fellow will be rejected by nature".

This is demonstrably false, given the large increase in people mining since the buff. They also are largely going it in cheaper and tankier ships.

EvE is about risk:reward, and you completely **** on that when you make the "best" also the "safest".

And all of the gankers said that there will be no more ganking in high sec and that all miners will be safe in high sec after the inferno 1.2 patch.

They completely failed to take into account the nature of people.

Because Hulk is destroyed the most and actively sought after to be destroyed.. Yet more defense was added to different ships that dont get ganked much at all..

So you say you understand that the changes were made so that there would be no "best" mining barge, and that they should each have different roles.

So if we make the Hulk the one that should be the defensive capable one, that means that it's yield must in turn be reduced to the level of the Skiff... and vice versa. Otherwise we would be right back where we started with the Hulk being the undisputed best barge and all others pointless.

What was your point again...?

tl;dr mining barges - including the hulk - already got ridiculous buffs. They don't need any more. If anything they need a bit of a nerf.

- Hulks should have a higher potential EHP than Mackinaws, because no amount of attentiveness can make you gank-proof. Procurer and Retriever should have 50/50 drone bay/bandwidth. Those are the only changes I think should happen.
- Hulk has best rocks per hour. Mackinaw has best rocks per effort. Skiff has best rocks per Concor'dokken.
- T1 Barges don't suck anymore. T1 Barges don't suck anymore. T1 Barges don't suck anymore.
- Mineral prices are up because drone poo is (almost) gone and mission loot refining is down.
- After maxing your mining comes Industry. NOT more mining. Stop trying to make mining needlessly more complex.

If you still don't get it, you shouldn't be posting mining ideas.

They always had that option, way before the exhumer changes and people still chose to make themselves targets. This is why the exhumer changes CCP introduced were just patronising since not everyone is that dumb and previously dumb people deserved what was coming to them. CCP don't think New Eden should be as dark and dangerous a place as it used to be in an effort to appeal to casuals but in the end they just make a half arsed approach that appeals to nobody.
