Need advice which faction to mission for

I'm trying to decide where to mission at and which faction to mission for. I kinda don't want to do caldari since i have some experience doing that on my main. I've been leaning towards minmatar space/corporations and amarr space/corps. And I read a few places that gallente space wasn't that good either.

I can't decide where to go, are there any benefits to picking one over the other? I'm just looking for a relatively quiet place/faction to grind some isk when there's no action for my main. Any suggestions on which space to live in? Any reasons why Amarr/gallente/minmatar would be better to mission for over the others?

Dont do caldari simply because of the annoying amount of guristas missions and that guristas ECM jam.
It's annoying as hell.
Never mission for caldari unless you absolutely have to

In the long run it makes no difference.

The individual shipnames might change, not a lot else does.
Running for 1 faction is the same as for another, 2 start to like you & 2 start start to hate you.

imo pick a ship that you like and then mission in the space that suits its strengths. i for once enjoy the tengu very much so i found myself a corner in serpentis space.

I should buy an Ishtar.

All in all, it really makes no difference. The only time it will make a difference is if you find that if an npc corp that offers something that you want/ need. A miner, for example, finds a system he likes to mine in. He would need to gain standing with one of the npc corps with a station in that system (if he doesn't already) so that he can better returns for refining ores.

Sisters of Eve are kinda cool to mission for. They have a couple of unique LP items , and they take you to some less used places.

Amarr if you like lazors...
Caldari if you are a missile rat...
Minnie if you love everything projectile and rust.

I can't think of any reason to run for Gallente. P

Run Caldari missions in Amarr space and you will get the Sansha/Blood Raider versions of missions. The only Gurista ones I have had come up are Extravaganza and The Assault (I think that's its name)
All other missions that would normally be Gurista's were replaced with the Sansha versions.

I also read that people in gallente space didn't make as much because the rats didn't give good salvage. Any truth to that? I've also seen people talking about lp items a bit, but I've only looked at the store like twice and didn't really notice or even know what I should have been looking for. Do the stores all off the same stuff too? Or are some better than others? thanks again for the help.

I have a pure Gallente toon that I'll probably start getting into L4's here shortly, but I haven't seen anything unusual about those missions; on par for other other factions, really. For the most part I run heavily in Amarr and Caldari, with a smattering of FW in Minmatar space, so I don't have a lot of experience with Gallente space.

LP stores are basically the same for each faction; if you check the faction LP store database ( http://www.ellatha.com/eve/LP_Stores.asp ) you can get an idea of items available. FW stores tend to have juicier stuff, and the pirate faction stores supposedly have much better items. Never done any of the pirate faction stuff, but I'd love to get into it.

Basically, there's three different kinds of LP stores for the major factions:

"Military" (e.g. Caldary Navy), which usually have faction ship BPs, faction smartbomb BPs and the like.
"Large Corporation" (e.g. Kaalakiota), faction ships and module BPs, but no faction ship BPs
and
"Small Mining/Research Corporation"

They carry different selections of implants (the same regardless of what faction the corp belongs to), and faction items/blueprint (faction specific, of course - if you want Caldari faction items, you need to get them from a Caldari corp).

The trick to make money is to find out which items from the LP stores are in demand (hint: navy faction ships usually aren't) and give a good LP->ISK conversion ratio.

Excellent point, Exploited. Thanks for the clarification. I meant merely in my post that all Amarr Security LP stores (non-FW) are basically the same; I imagine a few I haven't seen may have additional items, but in general the spread is the same as noted.

OK, not sure of you're goals, isk or rewards or LP, but if you want the Max isk/salvage/LP go with Amarr, as most lvl 4 missions are same same just different pirates however the thing Amarr has over most others Sansha salvage gives armor plates and laser crystals refine nice stuff, plus (someone correct me if I'm wrong) you may get a mission with lots of kernite and that stuff is nice.

consider yourself corrected. kernite is just about the worst ore with current prices.
