Holy **** OP - what rock do you live under?
In Period Basis we have hostiles roaming the majority of the day and there's always stuff to kill (we love it!). Small gang to medium gang sizes and even large fights when we go to 49- against soco.

And that's just down south :)

Nah, plenty of action and opportunity still in the game. The Sandbox is still very much alive. Forums are a poor representation of the game as a whole. The game is really what you make it.

Come join the Southern Coalition, we have many Alliances and fight epic space battle on a regular basis with the HBC.

This is a war that's been going on for some time now, so, that also fulfills your other want.
