Is this for real? I think I might have missed those patch notes.

In the Nakugard system Ice Field, since I've migrated there I've noticed something consistent there for the past few days. Notably, there's always around a dozen Concord ships lurking around in the exact same spot. Basically insuring immediate response time should someone decide to pester the bot horde. I've been there a few hours each day since and I haven't seen any aggression at all.

Is this a bug? Exploit? Recent patch notes that I've missed?

If this is serious, that's bullcrap. I'm usually the first to stick up for CCP's changes towards making high sec safer but miners don't deserve instant support like that.

It's worth noting that this is a 0.5 system.

20 ship kills in the last 24 hours so I presume they are there due to ganking that has occurred earlier.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Probably someone getting an alt to shoot at their ship in a rookie ship to get Concord to protect them.

sometimes miners will intentionally arrange for a rookie ship to get suicided so that concord will chill there and protect them for a while. They take quite a long time to despawn.

Yeah. Either ganking happened while you weren't there or those botters are intentionally spawning Concord. Maybe their Mackinaws have empty mid racks.

Why would people bot to ice mine?? That's a hilarious proposition, to risk your account to macro ice mine.

I mean its the perfect legal semi-afk activity, just set your ship mining a non-depleting ice roid, and come back in half hour to dock. No dev expects players to sit there for half hour and catatonically watch their cargo fill with ice every half hour.

Concord can be spawned on demand, it's been like that almost for ever.

I was always under the assumption that concord spawns for a specific response, and that any concord ships already there would not assist a new attack. I seem to remember it being like this for years now? Although, I've never popped concord before or tried to gank anyone so I really don't know.
