I don't understand how you're not getting this.

I know that if you're in hull you're in trouble, but it's not just for hull, it's for armor and shield as-well, yes it's minor but it's better than a MFS in MY CASE

Because it won't be, even in your case.

Good lord, I hate bad ASB fits.

The Vigilant has an issue in the current Meta-Game, its a 300Mil oft faction fit cruiser that shines when armour tanked, means it has to essentially to commit to fights, and thats an issue because of the attention it garners, with the current overall meta-game (Certainly where I live) it seems that a Nano-Kiting fit is the only way to go, which is a damn shame because its not ideal.

However, this is what I would do;

[Vigilant, Vigilant]
Damage Control II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Tracking Enhancer II
Tracking Enhancer II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

Experimental 10MN MicroWarpdrive I
Large Shield Extender II
Warp Disruptor II
Federation Navy Stasis Webifier

Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M

Medium Core Defense Field Extender II
Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing II
Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer II

Warrior II x5
Hornet EC-300 x5

Not much buffer to work with, but its fast, projects well and that 90% web makes it an arse to tackle.

Loki links probably mandatory for this one, go a four link with the Shield resist link, some snakes if you are E-Rich.

(And dont get neuted)

Your fit highlights exactly why an ASB is perfect on a vigilant. You have over 500 spare PG and 100 TF of CPU... and this includes the LSE you have fit.

Shield extenders add EHP but they also add signature radius and don't help you on more than one engagement.

ASB's increase your EHP over time but have no signature penalty and are good to get you back into a fight if you are forced off the field.

If you have enough fitting for an ASB or a LSE there is no situation where the LSE is better - other than if a large fleet alpha-strikes you. Even then the EHP gained from an LSE is negligable in that situation.

And the rigs are pointlessly expensive: The polycarb just takes EHP off your ship and the extender just compensates for that. it's 150 youd be better spending on T1 rigs.
