north korea has a nuke, and they haven't nuked anyone. i believe iran wants a nuke to "defend" themselves. to put a status in the middle east... pakistan has nukes, they are islamic and haven't nuked anyone.

if israel wants to destroy iran, thats their problem... usa shouldn't get involved. i hope my country doesn't take part in it.

Politics didn't have much to do with it, so your point is that Obama just happened to be in office when the recession kicked in hard? I.e., if McCain had won, the US would still have been hit with a recession.

The only reason North Korea hasn't nuked anyone is they're so incompetent they have no long range missiles, they tried but the test turned out to be a hilariously colossal failure P

Also Israel is our only real foothold in the middle east, we're not giving that up. If it costs Iran, no one will miss it Pirate

Your link didn't dispute what I said at all. The only thing they can come up with to try to undermine it was that he had a "comfortable" upbringing and his parents *gasp* helped him with college.

"Did Romney's career benefit from having well-to-do parents? It certainly eased his way, with their financial help allowing him to focus on his studies. But there's good evidence he also worked hard to make his own success, graduating with honors at BYU and Harvard, and building a reputation at Boston Consulting Group and Bain that ultimately catapulted him to wealth."

Doesn't mean he's any less self made. Plenty of children who grow up in "comfortable" homes squander their opportunities. Some, like Romney, work hard and lead in business. And others, like our private prep-schooled president, become community agitators and destroy job growth through regulation.

No, only if you actually look at the numbers. Bush spent far, far too much. And a large chunk of that was spent turning rubble into smaller pieces of rubble. But Obama's still ahead, and doesn't even have a Shock and Awe fireworks display to show for it.

Bush, in 8 years: 4.9 trillion
Obama, in almost 4 years: 5.3 trillion
(these numbers are somewhat rounded since different sources change the numbers slightly)

Also, I often see defenders of the New Jimmy Carter use the argument that Obama's spending is just a continuation of preauthoriszed Bush spending. Obama takes full ownership of his spending by the fact that he never asked that TARP funds (for example) be impounded. He is not forced by law to continue the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. And tax cuts aren't responsible for debt - spending is.

Nothing is more tedious than hearing Obama or his supporters continuously drone on about "spending money on tax cuts." This assumes that your money belongs to government to begin with and that anything you keep is a government expense. And people wonder why he's called a Marxist.

A president can't create jobs unless he can pass useless makework programs and those aren't real jobs. But the president, through regulation and government busybodies, certainly can take a wrecking bakk to job creation. We're talking about a man who said he would bankrupt industries he didn't like, instituted the regulatory spaghetti and company-size freezing nightmare that is Obamacare, and effectively decriminalized illegal immigration because American workers apparently don't have enough competition for what's left of construction jobs... not that everyone wants a job, seeing as he's worked so hard to disincentivized the work ethic through massive expansion of food stamps and perpetual unemployment payments.
