Well if it helps, if you pour a cup of girl scout water (aka kerosene) on a campfire, you can expect the radius of the fire to suddenly (and temporarily) increase by a foot or so. Don't stand close to the fire when you do it.

I watched a long documentary about Icelandic volcanoes, it was quite interesting.You should watch it too, it's called Lord of the Rings.
