Living in C1's for short periods of time?

I know most people that do daytrips use an orca as a base and only stay for.. a day. However, I was considering going in, setting up a small tower and just farming the sigs until the respawn rate slowed.

I mainly just want to know if that is viable. And.. is that respawn rate of sites random or do they generally have a set time?

I very much doubt you would find anyone daytripping into a C1 using an Orca as I think the mass limitation for most C1 statics (I could be wrong) is 20 million M3 and an Orca weighs 200 million M3.

I don't think the respawn rate changes. I think you mean that you move in, do the sites that are accumulated in the system and then move out when it's empty?

Me and two corp-mates just did that, but in a C4.

I don't see why that would not be viable. If its worth it or not I don't know, but Eve is what you make it, so I say go for it!

Yeah my bad, I was thinking C2's or C3's maybe?

And yeah, sites do begin to kinda "clear out" right? That may not be the best of describing it. But yeah, move in, do the sites and move out when its clear.

It depends on how many people you have.

If its just you and an alt or two, you will be better off taking in a ship to scan the sites, a ship to clear the sites and a ship to salvage the sites.

I recommend you put a cloak on your salvager and claok up between salvaging. Also keep a set of combat probes out with your scanning ship and regularly check for new signatures as new incoming wormholes can and most likely will appear.

I did the same thing in C3s for a while. It works fine, but you have to realize that there's a good chance you're going to lose it.
