Now being in the uni, I actually don't know anything, but having read this thread in detail, I have some ideas. Idea

I am currently training for T3 specifically for their purpose in wormholes and would be very disappointed to see them nerfed across the board. From what I can tell everyone in wormholes flies a T3, so that makes them almost a non-issue there. T3 ships were clearly introduced in close relation to wormholes, so I believe this is where their niche should be. My solution for this would be to reduce the subsystem effectiveness (by a small amount, like 1-5%) while outside of wormhole space. I guarantee you will see less of them in known space.

Second, I believe that you cannot simply yell "nerf T3" because you are comparing them to HACs, some of the worst and poorly balanced ships in the game. They do need to be buffed above, if not to T3 level. By all means, buff HACs, do whatever you need to do to make them better, because right now, they are terrible.

What these two changes will do is to reduce T3s to a specific role (wormholing), increase HAC viability, and still allow for both of them to be played, both in and out of wormhole space.

Go easy on me, I'm a relatively new player and I haven't actually flown most of the ships I am talking about. Just spewing ideas here.

P.S. nerf T3 boosting to hell, they should not outperform command ships

The main reason for the popularity of T3 ships is there abbility to travel with the highest survivability, Which makes them excelent for solo and small corporations, who have not always that many people online.

It gives you the abbility to still opperate in relative dangerous systems, travel large distances, and refit when you get to the designated area.

In my humble experience I seldom see T3 ships in large groups. Lots of solo Protheus pilots, solo and small groups of Tengu's, Loki usualy solo and the only T3 I see now and then in a larger fleet.

I think that there lies the danger in nerfing those T3's as well, if those nerfs are to rough on these ships survivability 0.0 and in particular 0.0 NPC space might suffer on it and it's not that those area's are over populated as we speak.

Not that I'm against ballancing, though I think people need to consider what all the efects are beyond fleet fights.
