Overheating Nerft?

I feel I've got a pretty good sense on when I should start checking my guns, and I've burned out full racks a couple times recently in what feels like a much shortened amount of time.

I've heard a few other grumblings from corpmates but haven't seen any real confirmation. Anyone else feeling their mods are getting crispy a little bit earlier than usual? I

My mate was heating the guns on his Talos 2 nights ago, he said it was jumping up 10% dmg a cycle. Maybe the skills where not applied correctly.

Doesn't have to be a nerf, it could be a bug.

Somebody should compare the time it takes to burn out in EFT and ingame to see whether this holds any truth.

I nominate the OP.

I would definitely like to see some actual data on this, and will gather some soon as I get back to a computer with the client installed. I have noticed what *seems* like faster burnout, but it could very well just be the fact that I was annoyed at having burnt out mods and then noticed this thread.

Then it's a spreading bug, talked about this in corp and everyone seems to agree their mods burn faster. But they might think it just because I've talked about. Blink

I did some quick testing tonight with a 425mm ruppie fit. EFT says I should burn out my guns in 1:26 -1:34 depending on their proximity to my heat sinks. I lost the whole rack and the medium neut sitting between them in ~1:17 both times I tried it.

Not the most scientific of tests, but two out of two @ 10 seconds less than usual was enough for me to decide to stop shooting at asteroids. So stealth Nerf or bug?

T2 mods should also adsorb much better dmg but actually and specially T1 MWD's last long, tested yesterday with Sabre, Incursus, Rifter, Ares, Harpy. Same result, T2 burned faster Shocked

*lol* how typical of you.
t2 mods always have been taking MORE heatdamage and thus got burned out FASTER.

Happened to me too last night. Burned out a full rack of 425mm guns. I couldn't believe how fast they burned out. Never burned out a rack that fast.
