I’m not really a drone guy as I mostly fly a Tengu, but I do have an observation that I know is only an issue when you are sensor dampened (range) or have ECM rats (not able to lock). All other times you can just redirect the drones to their next target.

It would be nice if there was a way to add logic to drones. Additional skill that makes one drone a master in the event of you being locked down with ECM? Currently, once your drones kills a target they haphazardly go on to their next perceived victim which can be 2 or 3 different targets at random ranges. I really don’t need a single light drone annoying a BS.

I think there should be some kind of pecking order when they attack. Like drones, frigates, cruisers, then BS. This could be some kind of a scripting option for a module that you load?

Also, it would be cool if you can load out drones as you do a ship. What’s the deal with drones and unlimited ammo? It seems almost like a cheat!

Just random ramblings. Flame away...

The problem with giving drones better AI is that it would negate the effectiveness of target dampers/ECM completely and make drone-specialized boats able to apply full specced DPS through any CC you please.

What you're describing also would allow a Dominix to run 100% AFK even on trigger-based missions without really losing any time, which would be blatantly unfair to every other racial BS.

This makes a lot of sense, I guess because I don't play AFK nor do I play a drone boat, that I really don't get the concept of playing AFK. Either play the game or don't! LOL...

The other issue is that I didn't even consider is I was only looking at this from the PVE side of things, I didn't even consider how unfair it would be in PVP and the drones automatically going for tacklers. It would negate the human element entirely.
