no such drag and drop functionality in the client, everything that would allow to do so would require client modification - which is not allowed by EULA.

I honestly cant tell if that is a troll or not. When you cntrl + a and left click, it selects everyone in the channel you are in. You can drag all these names wherever you want. I simply want to drag them in a in-game tool that process which character is from which corp. This isnt anything earth shattering. It is a in-game mechanic, not modding :P

ctrl-a all the pilots in channel into an evemail or in game note, names are separated by commas.

this can then be parsed by an out of game program and the names enforced against a corp/alliance auth tool to sort the pilots in question and populate the necessary data

the issue at hand is that whomever programs this for you will likely require access to your alliance's auth tool or however you store all your member APIs. otherwise they will be calling on evewho.com or something to figure out pilot tickers which is slightly ********.

as the poster above mentioned, it's not a troll, you cannot create an 'in game' tool.

you can make a web tool that you can copy and paste into the in game browser, but in the end, the in game browser isn't really "in game."

As long as the tool can be used in-game when dragging peeps, then no worries. As for corp history, use eve-gate. That is public info. But i know what you mean, and it makes sense. But there is no way in hell anyone is getting into the auth system. So use eve- gate :)

And if evewho is the only option, then use evewho. I have never seen evewho wrong about who is in what corp.

Master Hyde, might seem like a dumb question but how are you going to use eve-gate to pull the data so that it can be compared to ???

I really really think he knows, that the tool will run in the IGB.

And to the Drag&Drop thing: I doubt it is possible, but since the last patches almost all tables or lists in eve can be Copy&Pasted, which should work for you needs, too.

For finding out the corporation:

Either use Evewho, so you don't stress the API-Server too much (http://evewho.com/faq/) or simply use the public API called "CharacterInfo" (http://wiki.eve-id.net/APIv2_Eve_CharacterInfo_XML)

I could probably program something like this, i don't have the time for it sadly.

Best luck on your seach

Question is:

Are you going to provide hosting for it.

From that:
Yes:
What's available on your host? php? asp? mysql? sql server (expres), postgres? (something local like xampp)
No:
What will you pay for ongoing hosting?

Woo! CSM XI!
