I agree I was using EFT but will try Pyfa, my eft stats say everything running - the capacitor control rig =45s with the capacitor control rig it is 25% cap stable.

My skills are very low at the moment but I do understand what you are saying.

You need to train up your cap skills then (Energy management, energy systems operation if I recall correctly). Regardless, you're still probably better off with a semiconductor memory cell.

Okay going to read up on those now.

If you're interested in learning PvP check us out in RvB. You can learn the ropes in cheap ships (mainly t1 frigs-crusiers) and get loads of advice and ship fitting suggestions. They even help you learn to tweak the overview and utilize strategic bookmarks. I've played EVE for 6 years as a PvE player and burned out on missions. In RvB you hit the ground running and never look back. Cool

OP's doing a good job, we need more of his type, Here's some stuff for you think about (some may already have been mentioned).

- don't think bigger is necessarily better, there is no "natural progression" in this game instead it's about specialisation and purpose
- don't think that fancy ships or fittings will help you in the beginning, you're much better off buying 20 Rifters than 1 Firetail
- always have a plan, always think ahead. That way, even if you lose, you can analyse what happened and why it went wrong. Just "doing stuff" generally means you don't learn
- you don't have to grind in EVE, you can if you want to but it's not needed. There's many ways to make Isk but most people just flock the the most obvious ones (missions, mining) and tell others to do exactly that
- realise that most EVE players are just as clueless as any other MMO player, regardless of their ingame age. Therefore always question the answers people give you as most of them are crap (that would include mine, ofcourse :P)
- don't sell yourself short, if you end up in some corp (after RvB) that's either inactive, takes advantage of you, is full of morons or has a CEO that likes to shout just leave. You deserve an active, non-idiot corp with members who don't want to live out their slave driving fantasies
- have fun, if you're doing something that's not fun to you (choice of isk making for example) then find something else to do
- always expect traps, always expect to be fcked over and doublecrossed
- learn to walk before you try to run. I'm not saying "don't run", I'm saying "learn asap"

Well I decided that I could not wait, Went shopping in jita which was a new experience for me, never seen so many scams in a game, I just minimized local and after docking at three of the wrong stations ended up in the right place.

Spent around 450m (leaving me with a little insurance and emergency cash) bought 20 rifters 20 slashers 10 thrashers and 4 ruptures.

Went on the red versus blue killboard and looked through common fits in losses for the above ships and bought lots of cheap + some tech 2 modules, ammo, skill books and various different fits.

Then realized I had no idea how to move this huge amount of stuff but I remembered courier contracts from reading and recommendations about red frog freight so hopefully everything I need to begin with is on its way to Reds home system sorry blues I flipped a coin to choose which side.

Once everything arrives I will log in and apply.

Red Frog is rock solid. They wont screw you.

Enjoy your time in Red vs. Blue.

There a great place for learning. But considering how ambitious you are one day that might not be enough. You may want to test your metal against greater foes and worsening odds. You may feel the need to push the envelope once again.

When you get to that point give us a call.

Heres my card

Noir. and Noir Academy are recruiting apply at www.noirmercs.com I Noir Academy: 60 days old must be able to fly at least one tech II frigate. I Noir. Recruits: 4:1 k/d ratio and can fly tech II cruisers.

Good to hear that even new players hear about us.

Happy to be of service (though likely one of the other frogs took care of it).

Do you want something shipped in high-sec. Is it below 1bil worth and under 860k m3. Look no further... Red Frog Freight can ship it for you. More info, join channel: RF Freight

As in most situations theory does not equate to practice although all the reading and studying of eve mechanics before logging in has helped.

Flew my first slasher into battle and lost it while tackling a merlin those seem like really well tanked, got on two killmails which really made my day, at least in small scale these battles seem to happen so fast, you spend time waiting just waiting and watching then everything seems to happen at once.

I LOVE it!

Changed my evemon plan cruiser can wait, I want to get all my support skills and dps skills up on these frigates, planning to try all the races frigates to see what fits me best.

I do like the slasher though.

Once again thank you to everyone for all the advice if I do not post much it is because I am now in game :)

No, join us carebears. Come mine in high sec, pew pew rocks , safe and fun. Look for my tea and cookies club.

Carebears ftw , we rule eve.

PS. CCP please kill the null and low players Before they enter high sec. Why have gate guns if not to keep the scum out. Also upgrade mining barges still can't fit tank with my 3 mining upgrades. More low slots!!!!

Reopen the EVE gate so we can invade Serenity. Goons can go first.

Woah...

Looks like links do not work, lets just say I am having a blast and nearly every ship I have combat with I want to fly and test out myself.

This Rocks!

I'm new to EvE myself, just getting my feet wet.

Yeah its hard to get a foot in the door of things I'm getting into Mining, PI, and , low level mission running right now. I have just enough skill to run A Vexor(cruiser, boy that thing SO slow) and a Iteron 3(industrial transport EVEN SLOWER). But I'm having fun with my guy, till I can settle into something to concentrate on.

See you around
