Question for CCP: Medal for Capturing Every System?

Actually there is only 3 of us proper Aussies in BWGRD, Orgon, Bill and myself, the rest are all in the Uzbekistan Royal Navy and put on what must be described as pretty terrible Austrailian accents in an attempt to look cool to the Sheila's ( they not realise all the girls are in fact blokes pretending to be girls ).

Though I'd def go for another CCP medal, maybe a statue of us all in heroic pose, pointing to the Orgon (previously named Oyonate) gate showing johnny war-target the way out.

Bruce cut me and i'll bleed pure Aussie Rednu.

I dont get what you guys are so proud about, you deplexed during off hours for the rest of us. thats all honorable and good but not much of an accomplishment.

I really only think there was about a handful of people really hardcore about getting everything and getting a "medal." I wanted every system just to say we had it all but not at the cost of having a completely empty war zone.

Yes, because Iron Oxide doesn't do exactly the same thing. Roll

Sahtogas. That was the one system that stopped the Minmatar from owning all the systems. One final system that the Minmatar couldn't take.

Black Watch and 24eme should be damned proud that it came down to their system and that they wouldn't let anybody have it.

(And yeah, I'd be saying this if I was currently Minmatar, too. Credit where credit is due.)

Thanks for the kind words guys. It is much appreciated. To be honest, we are pretty proud of our efforts. Not a "big win" in the scheme of things, but a win non the less.

As you know, although we did put a lot of work into this, we certainly weren't alone. Props to Ethan and his crew from FPROT for their great work, as well as 24eme and a few individuals who listened to our calls for support.

Not going to respond to the "we didn't want that medal anyway" comments. We know you did.

So how does this differ from offensive plexing during off hours for your wartargets? Or are you implying one should leave systems undefended because there is no possibility of pvp for it and you hate the extra work?

I think what he meant was that we should have a roster organised so that both militias can offensive and defensive plex at exactly the same time and so avoid creating any disadvantage to a plexing militia (because it would be a bad thing if there was any disadvantage to any side that was plexing in FW ever).

Gritz - i can do Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings. How are you placed? Do you think we should whip up a spreadsheet and mail it round?

I think if a faction can take another factions space and hold it, uniterrupted, ALL of them, FOR 6 MONTHS,like Caldari did, then yes, CCP should give them a medal.

If you are asking for a medal for taking all the systems, and you do NOT hold them ALL. for 6 months, then you should not be asking about it.

I think you should have to do the same thing Caldari had to do.

They didnt give us a medal because they wanted to, or were in some kind of rush to do it. The totality of the event forced them, finally, after half a year, to give some kind of recognition, as there was no other reward at the time, at all, otherwise.

So please, if you are going to ask about medals, please make it clear that you are talking about getting a medal AFTER you have held EVERY system, UNINTERRUPTED, for over half a year, and earn it the same way the holders of the Distinguished Blade earned it.
