I'm doing this "math" for my own benefit, but I thought I might as well share, even though it's simple.

A max skilled Mackinaw can contain 35k m3 of ore:
Veldspar is 0.1 m3 p/u, so that's 350k units of ore.
Scordite is 0.15 m3 p/u, so that's a bit under 240k units.
Pyroxeres is 0.3 m3 p/u, so you need a bit under 120k units.
Plagioclase is 0.35 m3 p/u, so you need exactly 100k units.
Omber is 0.6 m3 p/u, so you need a bit under 60k units.
Kernite is 1.2 m3 p/u, so you need a bit under 30k units.

Those figures can be useful to have, when you're trying to position yourself well in a belt (or a grav site - not sure, since I haven't done any recently) with the help of a Survey Scanner. I've done a lot of AFK in my Mack recently (enough to fill a maxed Charon twice), and found myself unsure about exactly what numerican quantity (units, not volume) of ore I'd need to fill my ore bay. Now I know.

edit: I've been reminded that Omber and Kernite are also found in high parts of high-sec (outside of grav sites), so I've added those to the above list.
