I'm sure that years from now your son will thank you...it will probably be at night when you're asleep, you'll barely feel a thing.

You're probably not a terrible father for blowing up your kid's ship, you probably are a terrible father for getting him hooked on EVE. It would be like a drug dealing father beating his kid for eating too much sugar, but then selling him his first baggie of crack.

Don't kid yourself. They'll be the same whining self-important brats we were. MMO's don't teach you leadership skills, they teach you that no one is more important than you and that the whole world is there for your pleasure. Which is what teenagers already think.

You know, I don't let him play on school days... only on weekends and just for a few hours. And he he's gonna use those few hours to AFK mine? No sir...

I talked with some friends to take my son under their wing... he's now doing tackling jobs and learning how to use actual teamwork and voice comms which I think are good skills that could serve him well in RL later on...

As much as I love ruining mining ships, if my father had done that to me I would have logged into his account and cancelled his subscription, as well as disconnecting the CPU fan and turning down the GFX fan as far as it would go within management software restrictions.

....And then I would whip your little ass until you cant sit down for a week, take your cell phone, your computer, your xbox, your gameboy and cancel your Hello Kitty Island Adventure account...then lock you in your room for a month and tell all your friends you like puppies and wear your moms dresses at the table.

Your kid should be playing outside.

So yes, you're a bad parent.

Actually you're probably just some dipshit highschooler that listens to dubstep.

Yeah, because playing outside is better than playing inside! Roll

Immobile Computer or Lappytop on desk, secure, player not moving (most likely) = Indoors.

Using iPhone, Droid, othersmartphonehere, walking/driving/biking/boating/dubstepping while attempting to game=Outdoors.

Indoors worst-case scenario: Person shifts and lappytop falls, or spilled drinks on keyboard causing mad-german-kid-syndrome, beating up the computer because of Counterstrike Fail.

Outdoors worst-case scenario: Person attempting to game on iPhone walks into road without paying attention, car swerves to avoid and strikes oncoming traffic resulting in a massive pileup, 5-30 cars depending on the street/highway/freeway/other. One car tire skips along, dislodged from the axle, ending up on railroad tracks and derailing a train that just happens to block the following intersection, halting more traffic. An air-traffic controller happens to be stuck and unable to work as a result, causing gridlock at the airport and halting flight travel from that particular hub. The impact spreads to other airports as flights are delayed globally, halting the world economy. The world as we know it comes grinding to a halt and smart-phones are banned, as are games, for causing this whole mess to begin with.

So, in summary: Best parenting ever. Keep it up.

Also, I think dubstep and shuffling is pretty cool Sad, definitely better than the booty dance that was prevalent during my time in college.

You are being too soft on him.

I expect you to wardec his corp and actively hunt him down. Its ok to walk into his room to see where he is hiding.

If he dies to you not only does he lose his ship but he is also grounded and has to wear a shirt to school thats says "I'm a carebear." Not only that but you make him tell all the girls he knows that hes actually gay and if they ever thought about being his girlfriend they shouldn't and the "it isn't you, its me." routine that never works and causes more drama.

That should work.

0/10.

Get the **** out.

When Bon Scott died and he appeared before St. Peter at the gates of Heaven, St. Peter looked at his record and told him he couldn't get in. Just then, God screams at Peter, "Let him in, Karen Carpenter is driving me nuts. I want to hear some music with balls. We'll haggle over the paperwork later." At least I hope that's what happened.
