Whatever....

My Evil is dirty, are you available to clean it on Thursday?

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

I think in fact that the only systems in ALL OF EVE that are mined out are those .8 or higher systems near Jita. The author of this thread wants everyone to believe that this is a major issue for EVE and CCP has to fix it when it is only local to the few systems around Jita. It happens there because of the crowds around Jita. If you want to live their you need to understand the unique problems that go with it. Over crowding.

Go anywhere else in EVE to the starter systems and plenty of roids exsist even in the 1.0 systems. This is ONLY a Jita issue.

Further some of the tutorial missions require a newbie to leave the 1.0 system in search of roids to mine other than veldspar to complete the tutorial. You can not complete all of the tutorials by mining only the roids in the 1.0 starter system. Or you have to buy the refined minerals off the market to complete some of the tutorials. CCP does not have to fix anything. All working as intended.

The only possible thing I can think off that maybe CCP might want to do for newbies is to place a warning in the charector generator about the over crowded conditions near Jita, place your new toon there at your own risk.

I started my first character 8 months ago in Minmatar space. On my very first trip out to the local belts I found them all completely empty of asteroids.

So this isn't a new situation created by the mining barge changes (as claimed by the OP) and isn't limited to the Jita area.

One other slight correction: only two of the tutorial systems are 1.0 sec - most are 0.9, with one 0.7 and one 0.8.

nah new players will just learn the same thing we did - go explore.

Find a system that's off the beaten path, less competition, less ganks, etc. Makes a good lesson for market applications as well.

Oh I agree with you completely on that point. But is a day 1 or even a day 10 new player ready to make that leap? Most likely they are not.

Since I have 3 areas covered one being close to jita and the others 2 nowhere near jita this is a problem.

If a player isn't ready to travel through highsec on day 1, then they aren't going to do very well at any point.

Plenty of asteroids out in nullsec. So many asteroids that I doubt you'll be able to mine them all. And when you do, you just get more. Oh wait, high sec. Yeah, well, at least you're "safe", right?

I love it when people make comments like this, its basically the same as...

So how many new players are told to go collect 25 m3 ore ( been 5 years since last I ran those missions) in their first few missions only to see empty ore belts? That is the point im trying to make. If you enjoy this game then keeping new players is a step in keeping CCP's bank roll going.

edit.... Or perhaps you are a bunch of forum Trolls and could care less about the game.? Are you?

So if your only concern is new people, why not just seed the systems new people are in with a bunch of asteroids with only 75m3 of veld in them. People in exhumers won't even bother targeting these asteroids. It sounds to me someone is too lazy/scared to move more than a few jumps from Jita to mine... You sound like those people in Freelancer that ***** about being so rich that their wallet can't hold any more money.

Vicariously posting in a masternerdguy thread?

EDIT: The relevant part for the lazy carebear souls who probably used to play Freelancer.

On the contrary, many servers put EVE carebear entitlement to shame. Ever think these forums are bad? Go to a freelancer roleplaying mod's official forum and you will see a new level of carebearism. Even though there is practically nothing lost from dying, and you can only be killed after proper roleplay ("engaging!", "2 mill or die" and "halt!" are not proper roleplay) people still manage to complain about there being too much risk!

People even complain about the PVE being too hard! But the most common complain of all is that they can't store any more credits on their characters because of the limitations of the 32bit integer. They are complaining about being so rich that the game can't even hold their money anymore.

Miners are so pathetic.

Whine to get insurance removed for gankers.
Whine to get Concord buffed to insta-scram.
Whine to get 2-3X more EHP on the AFK/bot friendly Mackinaw.

Exhumer deaths drop way off.
Amazingly, miner population explodes. Bots in Retrievers flood the zone.

Then miners start crying again - now complaining about ice prices falling and asteroid belts getting stripped clean.

Don't worry OP, just keep whining....

I'm sure CCP will find a way to artificially rig the game to make you happy.

Make asteroids instantly respawn, why not? CCPs - increased asteroid respawns rates before.
Set a fake price floor for ice? Why not? Just slap in the NPC buy orders.

Make it happen, CCP. Next patch. Your crying subscription base is in tears again....!!!!

I know of a magic place with tons of enormous asteroids, know what it's called?

Any system that isn't 0.9 or higher and/or near a hub.

Also, 3 pages so 3/10.

This post needs to be renamed, "The old problem with miners" & the op should say " I am a lazy miner who can't be bothered to actually try to be good at this game, so I'll come to the forums to complain & hopefully CCP will change the game so a,b,c ore spawns in my captains quarters.

You might have noticed that everybody posting in the thread knows it's a troll, and nobody cares. it's a slow forum day and they are just using your thread to amuse themselves. Smile
