Hello.

I am looking for something. It's slightly out of my reach, but the first step in getting there involves a fairly simple transaction.

What I need isn't big. It's fairly small, in fact. It weighs approximately 1 kg. To acquire this object, however, requires combat expertise slightly out of my reach at the moment.

What is this object, you ask? Why, it is simply a Drone Mind Embryo.

Now, I could easily request this object elsewhere. My goal is not simply to acquire the object, but to find someone reliable and able to make such purchases in the future. You see, I gave my old Drone Mind Embryo to a friend for safe keeping. That friend seems to be long gone, and it is possible he wouldn't even recognize me. I don't know if my little embryo is even being taken care of! Such is the lot of an absentee parent, non?

Regardless, that is my simple request for the time being. I need help. I am willing to compensate monetarily for the acquisition of this object, of course. 10,000,000 ISK to be precise. It is how much I paid originally to purchase one via escrow.

Can anyone help me?

EDIT:

I'd rather not have arguments about Grammar and one-upsmanship contests. This is a simple request.

I object to the Enslavement of sentient Drone People.

It is against our Religion.

The synthetic cultist known as Synthea believes you mean to enslave the drone once it matures.

Yes, it's rather impossible to bleed drones, isn't it? I imagine they don't make for good acolytes either and it's impossible for them to become a savant if they can't bleed or consume blood. Therefore, enslavement of such entities would be altogether pointless for you and your little cult.

To the original,

I would ask what you are intending to do with such a thing before even considering to offer assistance.

I said nothing about enslavement.

Can you assist or not?

Pilot Synthia.

We note that you insinuate that you are related to the Alvus descendant known as Dronietta.
While this is potentially true, we would request that evidence be supplied to corroborate this claim.
Evidence can be supplied in a confidential manner, should you so desire.
Furthermore, evidence will remain confidential.

Pilot Amrith.

Drones within the New Eden cluster, designated as Rogue Drones, do contain capilliary fluids, among other liquids vital to their continued function. Therefore, by their very definition, Dronekind can bleed.
Furthermore, The Drone Mind in question is, according to available data, an early experiment into organic evolution within dronekind. Therefore it seems likely that such an entity would also have the capacity to bleed.

Pilot Ruutarhara,

We would suggest contacting the pilot known as Antiquarian.
During the earlier incarnation of the Arek'Jaalan project, prior to the creation of Site One, several attempts were made to document the drone mind, it's experiments and the subsequent reaction from other Hive Alvus drones. There remains the possibility that the item you seek, or one of simillar design, may be available from stores created at that time.

I once made you an offer Niki, Should you want a place to call home, it still stands. I can't integrate you into our commune, but you could find a place here, should you wish.

We Return.

I would prefer not to involve myself in any way, shape, or form with the Arek'Jaalan Initiative.

As to your offer, I cannot accept it.

You can't insinuate yourself, it's something another person does when they speak about you.

She can imply, but she didn't do that, you simply inferred.

[On to Other Matters

As many people seem to be rather intent on discovering what it is I intend to do with this poor, defenseless critter, let me assure you; I'm not going to enslave it. I don't have some nefarious intent designed to enslave infomorphs everywhere. I'm not some Sansha spy, I'm not a Sleeper infiltrator destined to destroy every sentient being in the cluster and beyond, I'm not a (complete) mad-woman cackling away in some remote station surrounded by attendant drones whom I've named and painted in varying shades of my favorite color. I simply require a replacement for something I lost. No "harm" will come to the embryo. I won't destroy it, I won't enslave it, I won't use it to create unholy abominations of nature and science... however tempting that may be.

I simply need it to help me with a small task, and in turn it will be offered something quite precious. That is the extent of my intent. That is the end-all and be-all of my little endeavor.

Now, if you have no intent on assisting me, kindly take your bickering elsewhere. Please? I'd appreciate it! I'm sure everyone else reading this request would appreciate it as well. If I've offended, feel free to message me privately so as to avoid further public bickering.

Thank you, and have a wonderful day everyone!

Of course I did. It's not that uncommon with Capsuleers, dear. I just happen to do so more semi-permanently than most.

Yes, she can insinuate as much as she likes, and others can perceive insinuation where none was intended.

Lord, save me from people who struggle with basic word meaning.

Synthia cannot 'insinuate' that she's someone's child. An insinuation is a negative implication you make against someone else. She can make insinuations against others as much as she likes.

Now, I'm sure you've just remembered that something called a dictionary exists and are reaching for that tome. In it you'll find that insinuate has two meanings, one of which suggests a person can insinuate themselves into a group or someone's confidence. That's not the meaning she was using, but if it were, the sentence "We note that you insinuate that you are related to the Alvus descendant known as Dronietta," would make no sense at all.

I've altered my original post, and a direct response to behavior I do not see as constructive to this thread.

I would like to kindly ask that others attempt to follow these simple rules. I don't see that arguments over grammar warrant public debate, and when it borders on complete disruption of a thread, is rather unwanted.

I don't think I'm alone in this. Also, if I say something insulting, message me and ask me to rethink what I said. I'm not unreasonable, but I respond far better to reasoned responses than to angry rants.

I'm asking for help; if you can't help, kindly ignore what I say. There is no shame in it. Regardless, please keep things civil. It demeans you just as much as it demeans others to criticize in an unconstructive manner.

Thank you.

As someone with extensive experience at procuring difficult-to-acquire objects of interest, I'd be happy to retrieve this for you. I could spend a few hours researching its location and what is required to recover it, but perhaps you can save me and the crew some time and point us in the right direction. A region, the name of an agent...anything like that would be useful to start the hunt off and confirm our early research.

Since this is clearly related to the Jove, and therefore of a personal interest to me, I'd be happy to do this free of charge.
