Lost connection to EVE around 16:35 UK -Socket closed

Hi guys.

I lost my connection to eve around 16:35 UK time this afternoon. Cannot load any CCP web sites - using a family members connection to post this.

Other sites / eve raidio (Hi guys ) / etc are all ok.

I have spoken to my ISP, as I feel this looks like a upstream issue - but got given the mushroom treatment as it was home time.
(aka email and someone will look at it monday - its 17:00 and we want to go home)

I have had a few "socket closed" errors over the last week or so as well.

Can someone ask CCP networks if there is a upstream issue with network paths via UK.eurorings.net - I am sure my connection used to go via level3.net last time I looked (not that I check the path oftern)

As i said in the other post

Try this it work for me "\CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe " the screen may be black for a secs but it work.

I am getting also a problem since downtime.
My connection to everything else is fine.

Getting the same issue and I'm over in British Columbia Canada, I've had this a couple times since the last patch came out random Sockets closed I've had the same ISP for the past 6 months and it hasn't been a problem since, Able to do everything and anything else on the internet except for anything on the EVE servers.

OK, you sir are a genius, but does this mean I have to live out of a bin forever?
It also begs the question of what will happen when the next patch comes along. I am also betting its not the end of the socket closed screw up either.

Oh well, back in for now, however temporary

Its just that some of us have this problem but at least we can play with this work around....
