Business career tutorial - mining w/o a mining laser

I really enjoyed the new beginner's tutorial, but I'm sad to see that the career path tutorials still are as bugged as ever.

After doing the 24-step introductory tutorial, I decided to start on the career tutorials from the top, so I talked to the Business Career Agent. He sent me off one some courier missions, which was fine, but then he gave me a Bantham frigate and told me to go mine some Veldspar ore in it. The problem is, since rookie ships no longer come with a Civilian Miner module, I'm now on a mission to mine Veldspar without a mining laser!

It's not a big issue for me since I know how to get a mining laser from the market, but considering the last major patch was a newbie introduction revamp, it's pretty sad that you can get "stuck" on one of the first tutorial missions after the 24-step general tutorial (which was excellent). Now, I'm pretty sure that the Industry career path gives you a mining module during one of the missions, but since the player is free to choose any career path, and since the Business career path is the top one (for Caldari at least), I imagine a lot of people have found themselves in my situation.

Another issue is with Aura's side-tutorials that pop up when you activate certain triggers.

When I accepted the mission to go mine Veldspar, Aura popped up with a tutorial on "Reprocessing and Refining". However, the career agent also told me to switch to my Bantham frigate, so I did, which caused Aura to pop up with a new tutorial on "Insuring Your Ship", closing the first tutorial on refining ore. Thinking Aura might give me a Civilian Miner if I restarted the tutorial on refining from the "Industry" tutorial page (F12), I did so, but nothing happened. Going through the "Mining" tutorial did not grant me a mining module either.

Additionally, Aura has a tendency to activate irrelevant side-tutorials and generally load tutorials out of order, causing all kinds of problems and confusion as you receive items and information in the wrong order.

Suggestions:

  1. Make sure that all pilots are given the modules needed to complete a career mission before or when they accept it.
  2. ex.
Grant the pilot a mining laser module upon accepting the first mission from that Career Agent that requires them to mine ore. For the Caldari Business Career path, this happens on the mission "Balancing the Books (3 of 10)".

  3. Activate the "Market" tutorial early on, so the player at least knows how to get a module from the market.
  4. ex.
Aura teaches you how to buy a military grade repair module (shield/armor) from the market instead of giving you one automatically.

  5. Incorporate side-tutorials (insuring ship, salvaging, refining, etc.) into the career missions.
  6. ex.
Aura activates the insurance tutorial when the player is given the suicide Military career mission.
Aura activates the mining tutorial when you accept a mission to mine ore. and activates the refining/reprocessing tutorial when you accept a mission to acquire a certain amount of refined ore, or when you return to the station after mining the ore.

I know you're working on improving the entire tutorial system, so I'm sorry if I'm being redundant. Just thought I'd give my first impressions on the new opening tutorial and how it ties into the career tutorials.
