This idea that they would have shown the CSM the terrible UI had more people voted is silly. The idea that they would have delayed it until it was decent is even sillier. and i don't know that sillier is even a word.

They did not cancel the 10,058 votes the candidate became ineligible for the CSM position.

As I said block votes actually make things worse anyway as they are a small in that case about 2.8% of the EvE population, so a very small minority with a central focus, if we were talking about 28% instead then yes that would be a big deal..

I am talking about trying to get voter levels into the 80%s, yes bloody impossible but worth the effort.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Perhaps you should join the Herman Cain supporters, in their therapy classes. Or Bill clinton supporters. Or Hitler's supporters therapy classes.

True, just like you wearing what you call rosy glasses. He did the "act" after his second election. Much very much like mittens. He won two elections. But committed the act after the second victory. Maybe the big lesson is just human capability, and sometimes we just ask for too much, and its hard to live up to it.

I would definitely recommend Bill Clinton therapy sessions more then anything else.

They weren't shown space barbies.

They weren't shown fail UI.

Seems like they actually exist to deflect blame.

I voted, don't get me wrong, but CCP doesn't give two ***** what they think.

I can tell that a lot of important things are going to be accomplished here in GD.

It is one of the tools we have available.

The troll sludge is the tool. Once you start cleaning the "tool" you will only end up with an empty hand.

Actually constructive ideas on how to let the CSM reach more of the player base would be nice.

But this is GD so troll sludge it is Smile

Its not bad, once you get use to it. Though its not as easy, as gaining or getting use to a pill addiction.

I thought mittens cancelled the 10,000 votes when he resigned?

^ Or perhaps since no other GSF really ran for the election, that threw away the votes en masse as well.

Honestly, it wouldn't hurt anybody to have some sort of small window on login screen telling about CSM actions. This could be just a small summary, for example, having a link to let you read the complete article. Updating it in weekly basis would at least give us players the impression that our CSM is doing something to let our voice be heard and to improve our gaming experience.

Placing the CSM Twitter feed (tbh, I don't even know if they have a Twitter, but I suspect they do) in a visible place where even those who don't log in forums will notice it, could also work. This would actually be handy, since you can include further blog/other articles in your Tweets, while keeping the message simple and short. Wouldn't crowd places like login screens overly much.

Whatever you might think of the CSM, it's true they don't get the exposure they need. I discovered them almost by accident when I started reading the forums. And I discovered the forums by accident.

That said, CCP's only role should be to announce their existence. Anything beyond that is up to the CSM themselves. If you follow their blogs, tweets, and other media, most of them are actually quite active. The problem is, as mentioned, there's no way of knowing this without hunting the information down yourself.

A website created and maintained by the CSM where they post their thoughts, gather feedback, and document their efforts would go a long way, I think.

Which is why single focus powerblocs like Goons can get anyone they want on them. Most ppl dont even know it exists

Itd be funny if they ran a Goon for every chair... theyd win AND own the CSM

10k votes each chair lol

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

Last year when I was running around empire advertising the CSM, I was amazed how many times I had to answer the question "Whats the CSM". It was so often I actually ended up having it written in notepad so I couple copy and paste the answer.

The other misconception I ran into a lot was that it was a 'Null sec thing'
