Extended Singularity downtime from August 17, 2012

Our Singularity test server will be offline for an extended period of time during the deployment of the server side DUST 514 integration as announced here. Singularity will be inaccessible for EVE clients from 15:00 UTC on August 17 for several days. Due to the complexity of this task the downtime for Singularity might be extended (or shortened) - we will keep you informed and updated in this thread.

During this downtime EVE players cannot connect to the Singularity test server.

This is a large step towards the full integration of DUST 514 into the New Eden Universe and a major milestone as this will be the first time that we deploy DUST 514 and EVE Online on a public test server, so we eagerly anticipate your feedback on performance and defects.

Updated to a Dust supporting build but eve related stuff will mostly behind the scenes until they turn them on later.

The news blurb you get on log-in says things like orbital bombardment will not be active. Dust and eve will be running on the same server however.

But will any interaction between the two games in any form be possible? The event horizon lounge? Chat channels? Market orders? Edit: Contracts? Contracts to fight for planets?

Edit2: What happens if I try PI on a planet with a Dust battle field and place a extractor head right on top of the battle? Will they see it? Will I extract more biomass?

Sisi is up but only for Dust players while they sort out all the transfer bugs. It was funny watching the count of players spike to over a 1000 in 10 min. We will break the concurancy record on Sisi later to night for sure.

Just let us know which dev is the first to orbital bombard another dev. Full details of the glorious strike with full sound recording of the office lol's and raging dev dust dude QQing from a cross the room.

So does this mean that when dust goes live TQ will be down for a couple of days as well? Or are you hoping that during this move you can find a way to do it much quicker?

I hope they can do it quicker. After all, the move to TQ is just transplanting a working system of two games from one server to another. Whats going on on sisi is the joining of two games for the very first time.
