I know this is a bit creepy but here is my idea or question.

Is it possible for a player who loved EVE so much to buy Hes/Hers characters tomb ?

Its like a celestial site like station ruins battlefields or junk yards anyone can warp to this site where he or she found a small monument what you can found near a station in Amarr and receive a message about the person who rest in piece in that monument.

The player can choose the system and or the type of the monument and of course the text of the message.
It'll cost one character (someone must have a funeral) that character will deleted form game but hes or her name can't be used again the name and the picture of the character sored in the monument and can reveal with a show info. Aldo its cost some money or plex.

Opinions?

Neither here nor there personally. I have no direct problem with it although I also don't see the point.

Sounds extremely annoying. If this went live, there'd be a ton of 1d alts created with dirty names and then sacrificed to make monuments with dirty text right off Jita/Rens/Dodox/Amarr undocks.

Also, CCP definitely doesn't want you trashing your chars when you quit the game. As long as your char is still around, you'll come back to the game eventually.

So, no, it won't happen.

Don't you just love when someone tells everyone else how dumb an idea is because they didn't conceive the idea so they automatically assume the role of CCP Idea Troll telling everyone that CCP would never implement their idea.


I think the idea is really cool.

A few years ago I designed a Burial Chamber for Capsuleers to say their goodbyes to loved ones in their own special way after my grandpa passed on.

Developing the Burial Chamber helped me release him from this world in my own manner of belief which is to in depth to go into.

The burial of my grandpa consisted of a using a Iteron with a tractor beam fitted that towed a cargo can with a corpse and a letter of burial in into from the station to around 300,000 m from the station in a slow procession to Red Glowing Dust...which by the way is a very somber tune to listen too when you are trying to find that special for any occasion.

The idea does have merit as it would bring a personal and spiritual feeling to EvE that would give those employing such services to finally send their departed on their way in their own manner thus completeing the belief system for New Eden.
