Question about removing AFK High Sec POS's

Greetings!

A couple friends and I are looking into set up a small Indy corp with our alts. We weant a Hi sec POS near a major trade hub. Most moons we've found have control towers already anchored. I've found a few however that are offline, no modules anchored, and haven't seen any activity in 2 weeks. I've tried contacting the corp and no response. Im guessing the corp is AFK. Is there anyway to take control of the moon without war dec'ing the corp? While the dec. wouldn't really be an issue, sitting at a POS with 3 BS's trying to grind down 8mil structrure HP with 90 something resists would take forever.

Theres also the chance that its just a puppet corp holding the moon for another corp or selling it.

Just curious if theres another way

You cant.

either get a hold of them and get them to remove it (not very likely)

or wardec them, slap some cap chargers and heatsinks on a geddon, and grind it.

if wardecking sounds too booring to you, theres usually plenty of free moons few jumps away from hub system. added bonus is, your less likely to get wardecked yourself further away from hub.

If you pick a system with no stations, generally there are free moons. If you want the added security of keeping stuff in the station, it's a bit harder, and you'll generally have to wardec a spot, or move further from the hubs.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Once you start getting 6-10 jumps from a trade hub it shouldnt be to hard to find a free moon (I personally know of a system with several free moons thats 10 jumps from Jita)
