I personally use a Razer Deathadder something something DPI. Been using for last 2-3 years and it works sooo great both in First-Person shooters, RTS and EvE Online. I love it. :)

Some one bought me a R.A.T. 5 mouse.

No, I have no idea why. Being nice I guess.

Works fine, but as another poster said, any mouse wil do for Eve.

This is not a signature.

I have good news

It's the original, so no nkey rollover

Typing on one of these atm Cool Just the best keyboards. No longer just beige (mine is black with grey keys) and come with USB connection.

Oh, and to answer the OP - using a Steelseries Xai atm - nice well built mouse that tracks very well.

People who have it seem to like it. In several places people were saying they liked it better than their R.A.T. mice.

I use that one but in the diablo 3 special edition. Must say it's the best mouse I ever had :).

I use the left handed version of this. It is the best mouse I have ever used. :). I got the 2 side programmables set to shift and Ctrl modifyers. Its all I need to play eve.

To the OP. Stick to what you know. If you enjoyed the Trackball then why change?. Although change can be good. Big smile

Unlike FPS, or click-to-win RTS games, there is no real massive disadvantage to having a low-end mouse for EvE.

The only considerations I would make would be whether it's cordless or not, as having your mouse run out of batteries in the middle of a fight wouldn't be fun.

Tell that to your wrist when it fails in a couple of years. Reumatic anyone? A good position when working for hours on a computer will make a real difference when you age.

I bought the G600 MMO about a month back, and I've become alot quicker in doing things, I mostly use all the buttons for specific windows, but I also have buttons to fill things forms in, to active slots....the list goes on...Cool

Have thick thumb, wont work. They'll come back from that one as they did from supersmall cell phones. With so many buttons a lot more to fail as well. Gadgets...

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice-pointers/mice/optical-gaming-mouse-g400 I use this

I was using an Ikari steelseries before, but after the second one I owned started double clicking on single clicks also... I switched to the logitech above... I am quite happy with it, easy to change mouse speed, and I hate having too many shortcuts on the mouse... (they are not that useful)

But one thing I can say, I lost trust in anything from steelseries, they went downhill on how long their products last before breaking... (works perfectly fine until they do)

but most importantly, make sure you get a mouse that feels right in your hand, (small mice are bad, unless you have a small girlish hand)

Yes the Razer Naga is where its at, to have buttons for drones, need shield/armor, stop ship and all the "warp to", "align to", "approach" etc directly on the mouse is awesome.

I happened to try the Logitech Wireless Trackball M570 not long ago... I never used trackballs before, but it felt good, I've started considering it since I begin to feel some troubles with carpal tunnel and it didn't take too long to get accustomed to the device.

Yeah, you wont get limp wrist from them... er I mean cArplal Trundel syYdom or whatever, from it. That's main reason I have used them for 10 years or so. Second is they work really well for me with FPS'... and I quit putting mouse sized holes in the wall next to my desk.

I'm in it for the money

Logitech G700. Have used and reccomended the Sharkoon fireglider before [still own it, good backup mouse] and currently have an old Coolermaster CM Storm Inferno [Whats with the long fiery names...] on permanent loan to a friend. All three mice for three good price ranges.

i got the logitech g9x and i bought it 3 times so far... once i lost it, the other one had the wire ripped off when i wasn't paying attention and third one seems to do ok lol, i really like it.

as far as steelseries goes... i bought one of their products once and it was the last time for me... their products feel cheap.

I have a simple logitech mouse, it has the standard 2 buttons and wheel in the middle but it also has 2 buttons on the left side which I macro to vent/teamspeak. you don't need anything more.

I know... but I'm a sucker for excess. Right now I have new SPDT microswitches on order which I will use to upgrade my trackman FX. Given the feedback, I think I'd be an idiot not to buy a Logitech G9x just to have it in my peripherals collection. So that's a done deal. I've also been swayed away from SteelSeries peripherals, because "cheap" feeling seems to be a recurring theme and I'm not paying for that. Right now I'm just wondering if the Razor Naga or a R.A.T. series mouse should be purchased... the budget my girlfriend will allow will only allow for one of them. I went into a Best Buy to check out the RAT... and it's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It looks very cool, but as a guy who has a lot of geek experience more moving parts don't generally make for a more reliable device. I have a Belkin Nostromo though... and while I don't use it much it is pretty cool to have... so I'm just looking for a reliable heavy device for the right hand atm...

I'd go with a new Trackman.
