Quite an impressive tool; the interface is extremely clean.

Minor suggestion: a way to drop systems from the page listing would be nice.

Question: will this be the only interface to the data-mining function, or did you plan on exposing that via an API (for use alongside signature tracking tools)?

EDIT:

Bug report:
http://wormhol.es/sys/J133030 is listed as a C1 with a C2 static, which is wrong. This hole is a C1 with a LS (J244) static as per both WormNav and the Project Atlas listing.

Can you add a clickable link to the PI output of the WH, i don't want it all listed for every hole straight up but if a hole is empty able to quickly see if its worth the bother to sell. Much like wormnav does.

Hadn't thought about providing an API, but it's something I'll look into. I need to work on some refinements to the algorithm first, a lot of the variables that are used for "confidence" are ones I just came up with as a guesstimate.

Have fixed the anomalous static - there might be a few of those in the database.

You can click on the locus ID to see a list of planets and their types for a given system. I trust that's what you mean?

Couple of things fixed this morning:

- Systems with spaces in their name were seriously b0rking the interface - had never really run many tests with non-wormholes (which don't have spaces in) so missed that one. Should be fixed now.

- Dotlan data is now cached for a short time, previously it was scraping data every time a system was queried.

- A few people seemed to be trying to link to http://wormhol.es/SYSTEM rather than http://wormhol.es/sys/SYSTEM - so I've set up a rewrite rule for both conditions

More to come... :)

This is pretty epic.

Bookmarked, will share with corpmates.

Yeah i saw that but what i meant was possible PI products so without thinking i can just click and go yep can make all POS fuels or it can make a few P4 or all P4 items. I am a little lazy like that Lol But not a big deal at all, the site is now my new go to without that.

That's by design at the moment. I did originally have it so the website automatically loaded info for the system where you are when you first open it, but disabled it for the moment. Likewise the website doesn't currently keep checking to see where you are to update the location. As a rule I'm not a big fan of websites just taking control away from people but i could probably add a checkbox or something to automatically update?

Nice work! And good to see folks giving positive feedback and real bug reports to help make it better. Keep it up. Big smile

the kill/loss data is not very accurate

other then that - awesome, keep working on it!

I should probably put somewhere that the kill/loss data is taken from the previous year, it's not meant to be an exhaustive list but rather to give a flavour of corp "potency", and to feed the algorithm that tries to work out residency. It's pulled from Eve-Kill so will be as accurate as that is.

brilliant, just the thing explorers need. i found the k-space info pretty accurate, too. saves watching at killboards, discerning the usual kill times and then looking up the, as they call it, "tactical data" at e.g. my-eve.

minor wish: maybe you could add second and third most active as well (for k-space)?

Bugs, bugs, bugs..

In working on this I've discovered quite a few bugs mainly related to the kill feed from Eve-Kill. Without going into specifics the data received by its API doesn't match the website in all cases, and is either missing a kill here and there or - in the worst cases - the "last kill" isn't actually the last kill at all.

I've also tweaked the system so that instead of re-scraping the Eve-Kill API every day it will maintain a cache that it will just add to as each day passes (logical since once kills have occured they aren't likely to change)

I have some tweaks to make to the residency & intel algorithms this weekend so apologies in advance for any performance or buggy behaviour while I'm working on it.
