Auction is ending at downtime, which I edtied into the auction details and made a post for on the 24th, so that there would be less confusion about when the auction ends. Obviously, it's gone and caused confusion anyway.

This means that as of this posting, there is still 3h33min or so to go before the auction ends.

Its because the forum is 1min after game time, its up to seller to verfefy that if he wants. SO bid before DT were 14bil or if he wants to count after DT highest atm is 14.7

I had to be away from the keyboard as downtime transpired, so I missed my client's closing...

How about this. Whichever of you transfers first will get the character, and I send the isk back to the 'loser'? Seeing as character sale scamming is a bannable, I'd get banned if I don't transfer back and GMs will have to investigate in the event of a dispute, so that's your security.

Otherwise, if you can both agree on it, the forum time's pre-downtime bid is the winning bid.

Just to make it clear, I'm not fussed with whether I receive 14.3bil or 14.7bil - if a GM would like to have the final say here then I will go with whichever they decide on. Otherwise, it's down to you two to discuss it between each other. Hell, if it comes to it neither of you get the character, everyone gets their isk back and I relist.

Conclusion has been reached and character transfer has begun to Furey.

As I listed that the auction would end 'at' downtime, the following is true;

1. Bids were made by both parties after 11:00 forum post time
2. After seeing this, I posted the term that whoever sent isk first would win the auction
3. Approximately two minutes later, I opened my client and was shown by the login screen that the server status is 'OK' with no player count
4. I logged in and approximately 5 minutes transpired before isk was received by Furey

I am considering this as a matter of promptness on the part of Furey in accepting and reacting to terms for which both parties should have received post notifiers on their EVE Gate clients utilizing the thread subscription facility. It's unfortunate for Rockstarlogic's part that they have not won this auction, but being that I have personally experienced forum timer desync and there was no clear-cut definition of exactly what portion of 'downtime' constituted the closure of the auction, this is a failing on my part that I will take into consideration for future auctions, and will be more clear to the effect of.
