So a week or so back, I was speaking to a few corp members. There was talk of people wanting to solo, but not having the finances to be able to do so. Since I'm a firm believer that you need to learn to solo by going out and losing a bunch of ships, we decided to implement a frigate program.

We brought down a bunch of the new t1 interceptors with fits and ammo, and told people to use them. The idea was that, with a bunch of free frigates that people didn't have to pay for and form an attachment to, that some of our pilots would be able to get a bit more experience solo. We started off with eighty, with the expectation that a person would probably have to go through five or so before they got a solo kill.

To my surprise, our buddy Nightshift grabs a Condor and finds a neutral Tristan almost immediately. Having never solo pvp'd before, Nightshift scrambles the Tristan and proceeds to eat through it. At about half armor, a Hawk warps in and starts burning towards our intrepid soloer. Keeping his head, Nightshift overheats his rockets and AB, and bags his first solo kill as the tristan goes down. Not giving up, he scrams and webs down the hawk, and manages to get his smoking Condor out in hull, but alive.

Since then, our members have been using the frigate program to good effect, netting kill after kill after kill. Akat has graduated to killing unsuspecting interceptors and FW frigates, while other people are moving up to soloing in larger ships. Even some of the more experienced peeps are having fun in frigates, so we're going to keep this project going for a bit.

Atron sigtanks four Manticores and a Falcon. They cloak up as reinforcements arrive, except for one who is pointed. Afterwards, he loses his 5% Hardwirings and HG Crystals Pod.

Those T1 frigates are being put to good use.

I solo'ed a Naga with my free Executioner, and two more tier 3's fell to a very stronk INS (Oracle 1, Oracle 2).

I had a close battle today with a Vigilant who didn't appear on the grid. He sneaked up on me and landed a web in the end, though.
