Now if I could only retro-actively reinstate the carriers I've 'destroyed' to actual kill mails!

I doubt any real pirate considers this a form of justice.

And actually, killmails don't mean all that much. I'd be more interested in ransom-mails, giving a list of ship almost destroyed and ransom paid out.

Still... Um... Congrats on being able to record kills that you couldn't bring enough firepower to actually finish off

They can finish them off.

Just not faster than the self destruct timer.

As reputation is a big part of a pirate's ability to make believable threats, accurate killboards *do* matter.

Actually I do like that idea of the ransom mails. But your comment about having enough fire power.

If I have a fleet with me that has enough fire power to kill a cap ship and he remains pointed even if it takes 30 min to finish - well damn dude. I'd say I have enough fire power. It is a matter of time and if he self-destructs, he did it because we forced him to. I want credit for that. To me that is fun, ok? Loosing a cap ship hurts I'd say for most people who play Eve. I myself would feel stupid if I lost one in sanctum without watching local. It happens a lot!

The problem is that there were no kill mails. I beg to differ that kill mails are not important.
I find a lot of information on BattleClinic about peoples records, fits - that is intel sir! That is fighting smart - I think.

Now the important question: does the KM indicate that they self destructed? I would much be pleased if this is so.

Hey Bunny, I bet you didnt know that the French invented the rearview mirror. It was so their troops could see the war.
