Hello all,

I'm truly sorry if this question has been asked before (did a decent amount of searching on google before posting)

So I am trying to import m/3 size on a specific item into a Google Docs Spreadsheet. Right now, I am using EVE-Data for prices.

Thanks,

The m3 size of things is in the table invTypes

What you could do is get the invTypes table from my site (look in http://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/dump/inferno12/ ) in xls, and import it as a worksheet into google docs. Or hack it down with libre/open office, and load that.

That worked prefect Steve, I just checked out your website as well. For someone who is interesting in creating spreadsheets like yourself, where do I begin? Do you have any resources? Websites?

Once again, thanks for the data dump.. I imported that into Google Docs and hopefully can cross link specific items into my other document instead of putting ALL that data into a separate sheet on my existing document. From my understanding that would increase load time?

Heh. Most of what I do is in a database, rather than spreadsheets. vlookups annoy me. I guess the principle is, in general, similar.

There's generally a bunch of people hanging out in the #eve-dev channel on irc.coldfront.net where, if you're polite, you'll get answers. (Seen far too many people acting like they were entitled to answers.)

There's also http://wiki.eve-id.net/Main_Page which contains a whole bunch of useful information.

And pretty much yes. The more information you stick in, the longer it'll take to do anything. Cut down versions aren't a bad idea. Something like open office is handy for prepping the data

Awesome Steve, once again I really appreciate your help. One more quick question I'm gonna post here cause I don't think it's worthy of opening another thread.

I got this price imported onto my GDocs Spreadsheet from EVE-Central (Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/azr4F.png)

Basically it is showing up 1767000.05.. Any kinda way to automatically put it into eve terms (ie: 1,767000.05 ISK).

Thanks in advance to anybody that can help, I'm gonna download IRC and join EVE-dev momentarily.

Select the cell or colum, go to the format menu, pick the relevant one. There's a custom currencies option where you could add ISK.

But it'll do the commas for thousand separators no trouble at all.
